Wednesday's are my weigh in from now on.

I am doing Wednesday weigh in's from now on as I am going to be away a lot over these holidays camping etc so Wednesday's are better.

..............................................................

Last weigh in recorded: 120.8 kgs

Weight this week: 119.9 kgs

Loss/Gain: Loss 900 grams

Total loss from WW: 34.8 kgs

Total loss from start: 40.1 kgs

..............................................................

I am pleased with that because I had a huge weekend with food and I just hope it doesn't come to bite me in the butt next weigh in but I am pleased with that.

This weeks motto.... "CM you will not YoYo you will lose 2 weeks in a row"

Just a note to say: Thank you to my yahoo group buddies you have kept me going this week!! and also Lyn girl you know you have done right... it will show next week and thank you thank you for the support this week too.

Lots to talk about today

Sunday

Was in a bitch of a mood... and I think it was because I didn't like the thought of having to go back to work on Monday...hmmmm grrrrrr.

Went to the gym and worked my butt off but I get the feeling that people just don't want to see me running on the treadmill because I do a 5 minute warm up and then I get ready to do my 1 1/2 minute jog on the treadmill and YEP I got interrupted again... chat chat chatting GEESH why don't people come and talk to me when I am on the weights.... so I managed only 1 1/2 minutes because for the rest of the time I was walking and chatting... so was a little bit upset about that.

Did manage to do my weights and also got on the bloody cross trainer ekkkkkk I hate the bloody thing and the year before last I got up to almost doing 15 minutes on the damn thing but now I can only manage 5 minutes and I feel like I am dying... so I decided yesterday I would do 5 minutes but each minute would get faster so that I didn't have to be on there long but still had to do enough work.... so I think I did pretty well.

Was dissappointed in the gain of 1.6 kilos on Saturday but this morning I was down 700 grams so hey that was ok by me... I think I will do well this week. I have tracked the last week (in a book at home as I didn't get on the computer as much as I liked) and I have exercised and I am watching what I am eating.

I have a 5kg challenge to get it off by the 17th Feb (6 weeks) and I need to do this and stop fucking around. I know I can maintain so I am going to be ok when I get to my personal goal of 75 kilos but I need to shift of the 120's permanently. I am to get to 115.8 DAMN IT!!! This is getting ridiculous and it is not shifting even though I am tracking and keeping to points. I have 117's and 116's and 115's charms for my bracelet to achieve and I want them.!!!

Kris came over in the weekend as Corbin wanted to take Ashley to the Lavender gardens with us (he likes her and she likes him) anyway and Kris said "I want your husband" OMG I said "why?" she said because he plays with the kids and I haven't seen Ashley this happy in ages. Well she knows what she can do about that... talk to her husband or get out of the relationship bloody hell.. anyway so she also said she liked my bracelet and where did I get it and I said hubby brought it for me and I am not sure where... (not going to tell her I know as I don't want that woman to have the same) so at least I know that it does look good and it is a good motivator for me.

I have 4 people on the yahoo group and it is going to be great I can just feel it... we are going to support each other and we are going to lose this weight so thank you guys for joining me and also helping me out in this weight loss journey as I need to email more than just on my blog ya know.

So back to the start... was a little grumpy but had a visit from Pam and Brianna and that was nice and also had a visit from my friend Tania to show us her new dog (it is a sausage dog) and how cute was he.

Also went to the library on Sunday to get more books out and it was great to see both my boys sitting down and reading in the afternoon when we got back and chilling out in this heat (not watching bloody tv or computer) so it was a nice thing.

Didn't get any crafts done but will still keep up with it.

The next month is going to be sooo busy for me.
  • I have Lyn's wedding invites
  • Going away to Athenree for a week
  • 2 weeks off work and 1 in Athenree and 1 week with hubby (as kids go back to school woohoo)
  • Staying at my friends batch (Mansion or Bansion as we call it) for the weekend before we are on holiday. Going to go jet skiing and swimming so that is going to be fun.

ARGHHH so full on

Well better get some work done ho hum.

Love Chubbymum

Wonderful day!!!

Went to Mt Maunganui today and OMG my friends batch is not a fucken batch it is a mansion... or as Corbin would say CASTLE OMG it was beautiful

Day was beautiful and I am sun burnt and I boogie boarded woohoooooo it was great, it was great but I drank too much alcohol and hubby had to drive home and we have only just arrived home. Ate to much WAY WAY WAY too much and tomorrow's weigh in is going to be a gain but I had so much fun I don't care. I know I am going to lose the weight and I still want to have a great holiday and then will be back again to being good on Monday.

It was the best day we have had in ages.

I took a couple of photos and will put some photos up tomorrow.

Going back there to stay for the weekend on the 20th and we all can't wait.

Love ya all

Need more support

I need more support at the moment and was wondering if anyone was keen to start with me a chat group. I know that sometimes these can be annoying... but sometimes I want to chat about daily life and get some feedback about weight loss stuff and not necessarily put it in my blog but just to chat with people that are going through the same thing.

Would anyone be interested?

I find if I can talk about it more then I am more focussed because I am trying hard to not eat the wrong thing... where as at the moment I want to eat and I don't care. I want to care!!!

Anyway....

Chubbymum

Ok today I decided I wanted a bagel, egg and salmon for breakfast but decided I wouldn't drive to Woolworths that if I wanted to eat it. So we walked to the shop and brought what we needed and got a few other things (so as you can imagine it was a bitch to walk back with the weight of the food as well he he he) but it was great that I walked for my breakfast.

Jeremy mowed the front lawn and we both had a shower then it was off to Corbin's friends Cathan's place for lunch. It was a peaceful lunch and we had fun... quite relaxing and the kids were swimming and on the trampoline and also on the computer and playing Monopoly so it was a nice afternoon.

We left there and then went hunting to buy Quinn a floating back pack but they didn't have them at Para Rubber (till next week) or at K Mart or The Warehouse GEESH but he he he hubby brought me a laminator OMG I have wanted a laminator for such a long time to laminate the boys art work etc and put them in a book so in two days I got the binder and laminator woohooooo... what a stationery aholic I am. I suppose it is better than spending money on lots of not so good food aye.

The day went so fast and didn't feel like it was going fast but it did.

Not going to be here tomorrow... going to Mt Maunganui to visit Marina (my Thursday coffee friend) they have a batch (pictures tell me it is a mansion not a batch he he he) about 2 seconds walk from the beach and they have a pool and spa and like 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms he he he so tomorrow hopefull will be a good one... Little worried about the driving with all the idiots on the road in the holidays. Not too worried about the beach or water too much because my boys don't like going to far in the water anyway so should be a good day and hey I might even come back with a tan he he.

Good night

2008 here I come

OMG am I back in to blogging or what.

So far this morning slept in till 9am woohoooo that doesn't happen often but I woke up with another headache... Jeremy seems to think I have a nasel infection or something like that... I think I agree with him.

Corbin and Quinn wanted friends over today so I said we would phone some and so Corbin phoned Cathan to come over and then Jeremy talked to Ange (Cathan's mum) and she said she was going over to their new house (they are building) and would drop him off but he could only stay till lunch as he has a friend coming over... and we said we were going berry picking so he could come with us... well 10 minutes later Cathan phoned and said that he couldn't come over today but Corbin can come over tomorrow... Jeremy thought that was strange so he said can I speak to your mum he said she was in the shower and would get her to phone back...

Well when I got out of the shower she hadn't phoned... hmmm strange.. so I phoned her and she said that Cathan said that it was arranged to do it tomorrow and Jeremy said "no cathan phoned to say it.. he he he" so we realised that Cathan didn't want to go berry picking as he didn't like it but was too scared to say so... so he thought he would say he couldn't make it instead... anyway so we said we wouldn't go berry picking and he should come over and visit..

I went to pick them up from the building site and said to his mum that we could take Kiely as well (his sister) as she gets on with Quinn so well.

We also had Tahlia Rose (Quinn's girlfriend) who came over for the afternoon and Quinn was soooo excited. We went Blueberry picking and then they went swimming in the pool (paddling pool), and then we made blueberry muffins yummmy (but we also made mini ones for me to have he he).

We are going over to Cathan's place for lunch tomorrow and then on Friday we are going to our friends batch (hmmm not much of a batch it is better than a mansion he he he) at Mt Maunganui right on the beach for the day... and one of their son's is Corbin's friend at school... it is going to be fun.

Tania came over for dinner tonight we thought we would have ANOTHER BBQ he he he quite like the steaks on the BBQ.

I am back tracking and walking and feeling better today. Yesterday I wasn't feeling good in my tummy but we wen for a walk... I am enjoying the walking with Jeremy as we talk about things and work things out etc.

This year has to be a good one. I have managed to change habits and even with Xmas I haven't gained like I would have before and I have to be happy with that... I know that I can maintain and that is the hardest thing I reckon and if I can maintain then when I get to goal (YES I AM GOING TO GET TO GOAL) then I am not going to gain it back again and I do reckon that is the hardest thing.

My New Year's resolutions are going to happen this year.. I am going to achieve them and they aren't unrealistic I reckon.

Well better get going as we have Tahlia coming over and then we are going to go Berry picking as I have been wanting to do that like forever.

Saturday we are thinking about going to TeAwamutu to the Lavendar farm and Corbin wants to ask Ashley (Kris's daughter) he he he sooo funny he is smitten by her like you wouldn't believe and asked me to phone and ask.. I said why don't you and he said no... can you and had a red face.

Cathan and Corbin playing soccer swing ball (above)

Quinn and Tahlia picking blueberrys yummmy

Me... telling Jeremy TAKE the DAMN photo please... hate photos he he he

Yummy blueberry's... we got two and a half containers full of blueberrys yummmmmy

And a picture of Quinn and Tahlia... hugging... hmmmm not sure about this one... was being quite protective when they hugged and said now now... you guys are rather young... at least it was only a hug GEESH... OMG I am going to be in trouble with this boy when he gets to be a teenager that is for sure.

This is them making blueberry muffins and Corbin and Jeremy below making them too... sooo cool.

We went for a walk tonight and went the big block too... it was great and then tomorrow morning we are off to the gym woohoooo back on track back on track.

Good night all.

Full on!!!

Woke up this morning with Jeremy in the shower and Quinn was up in the bed hugging me... it was so nice.. I treasure these moments because it gets to the stage where one day they won't want to know you and so I am treasuring those moments like anything.

Finished the gym's wine bottle labels Tuesday night and gave them to the owner on Wednesday night so should be getting the money today woohoooooo.... he was happy with them so I was pleased.

I am still getting compliments from people at school that saw the clock OMG I didn't think it would bring on so much drama he he he... quite liking it really. Corbin's teacher came up to me this morning and handed me a present... I looked at her all puzzled and said "why??" and she said said because you have helped me out all year and came in to do things and you also did those wonderful scrapbook pages to give to the kids today and it was amazing so thank you" Wow I had a tear coming down my cheek as I didn't expect it because I did it because it was my son's class and because I love helping him out.... and I only came in to help about 3 times where I went in every week religiously to Quinn's class for spelling and she didn't even thank me and that woud have been the only thing I would have wanted.

Well we find out at 12.30 what class they will be in next year ARGGHHHHHH so I hope that it is going to be a nice teacher and students next year... Corbin's best friends mum Ange (who comes to our coffees sometimes) said to me "you better be here this avo as I want to know where Corbin is going to be in regards to Cathan which is sooo nice and means that she is happy for them both to be in the same class and friends... which also makes me feel good that the mum loves my son wohoooo... I know as his mum he is fabulous but having another mum expressing that she likes my son with hers is a nice thing.

My mother in law came to the school yesterday afternoon as well as my mum to see Corbin's class do a dance for us all it was sooo cute and it was nice to have my MIL come too as she is a High School teacher so can't get in to the school... Corbin was sooo proud to do the dance in front of them.

OHHHHHH and she came over on Tuesday night after phoning to see if Jeremy was there and when she got here she said to Jeremy can you please back my car in to your garage....???? so I took my car out of the garage and when he backed the car in the garage she said she needed help to take his present out of the car WTF....what the hell could it be OMG OMG OMG she brought him a 6 burner BBQ with a lid and a roaster bloody hell and it was all in two boxes so he has to put it together but that is ok as he loves putting things together BLOODY HELL I just couldn't believe it. We were so lucky.. because she doesn't usually buy expensive gifts... and ON TOP OF THAT she brought a present for me to go under the tree. OMG I would have been happy with just the share in the BBQ he he he.

Been out doing the last of my little shopping... I had finished but wasn't happy with what I had gotten for my father in law etc so I got some little things to go with it.

I have been trying my hardest to get to the computer and update every day but have just not managed it...

OH and BTW I am on holiday woohoooooooo.... no work till 7th January OMG that is bloody fantastic..

FANBLOODYTASTIC...

Diet has been ok this week... not wonderful but I have been to the gym twice this week and I am going tomorrow morning as mum is looking after the boys so that will be good.

Anyway better get my backside ready to pick up the boys...

BYEEE

Chubbymum

Update:::

Picked up the boys and when I was in Corbin's class his teacher Miss Lauren Murphy was telling them how great they were and that they could achieve anything they put their minds too and that she thought they were all the nicest, brightest kids she has ever had and it was a previledge etc OMG and then in front of all the parent she handed out the scrapbook pages to the class (all laminated OMG) and said that Corbin's mum made them and all the parents went oohhhh and ahhhh OMG. The last straw (that made me want to cry) was that Corbin had made a book (spiral bound) that he had made an autobiography and then at the end he dedicated it to his Mum OMG I had tears and one of the parents were looking over my shoulder and smiled soooo cool that was the best thing ever.

Then went to pick up Quinn from his class (after leaving Corbin's class with all the parents still there talking to the teacher etc) to an empty class with only Quinn and one other kid there and no parents or kids... it was a sad thing and all she said was Goodbye Quinn and that was it... we walked out and said have a good Xmas but what a difference I mean.... wow how does someone become a Head of a department and not have a personality or conversation skills... it is beyond me.

So as usual all the parents milled around outside to see what class everyone else's child was going to..

Corbin's best friend is in a different class next year (he has been with Corbin for 3 years now) so that was weird.... but I think it will be good as Corbin needs to make some new friends as it is good to have lots I reckon.

Corbin has Lisa Smith and Quinn has Paula Schiwikkard (I am putting this down because it is a record for me for my kids when they get older... he he). I have been told that Corbin's teacher is the head teacher for year 4 and that she is strict but a great teacher and that Quinn's teacher is Paula Schiwikkard and she is South African and is the kindest caring lady OMG THAT IS SOOOOOO great as he needs a teacher that is caring and supportive as he achieves more with teachers like that.

Ok so after that we went to my friends Cherryls for a get together with the avo tea girls this year he he he and sat around and had cake (he he he) and drinks while the kids were in the pool and trampoline it was a great afternoon.... nice friends, kids happy and one of the dads was there too and he is really nice to get on with and it was his birthday so we laughed the whole afternoon.

Finished two brag books full of my scrapbook pages for my mother in law and my father inlaw and step mother in law tonight OMG glad that is done as I am tired... and went to bed at midnight arghhhhh.

Letting it all out in this post he he

You know I did a lot yesterday but for the life of me it is a blur he he he.

Walked the boys to school and stayed and did the spelling for Quinn's class... got it done faster this time it was much better... Can't wait till the end of the year when I don't have to do it anymore.... I know it sounds bad but I don't mind helping out now and then but not happy that I have to do it every week... especially for Quinn's teacher who I don't really like that much she has no personality at all and then when she does seem really fun and nice she seems false... it bugs me to the max and I am not the only parent that has thought this... I was talking to one of the mums who I get along with and another mum came over and said "sorry about listening in but OMG I feel the same way about the teacher and thought it was just me" so that was nice to know that I wasn't just being a snobby bitch or something like that.

Walked home and then had to take mum to go and get her haircut (all the way across town... I swear she chooses her bingo and hair and everything else all the way over there so she gets a drive he he he)... while she was in getting her hair cut I managed to read my book OMG all you parents out there know how hard it is to catch some time reading a book or doing something in peace it was bliss... had a couple of stares from people thinking you are sitting there reading a book while there are shops out here... phewwwyyy I thought to myself he he he.

We went to The Base afterwards to Briscoes as they were having a 1 day sale at 40 and 50% off things and Mum still had a couple of Xmas presents to get. I got a dressing gown for hubby nice and blue and sooooo snuggly as his has a huge split in it and he said he needs one (so I will give it to him for Xmas with the Debit card we both agreed on getting each other).

I also found a bargain with a duvet at 50% off too... it was nice and in the colours of the inside of the caravan (we needed a duvet that we could leave in the caravan so we didn't keep taking our KING size duvet for a double bed with us he he he couldnt move with it as it was too big and heavy) and then I found some cushions that had the exactly the same colours as the duvet and they had very thin stalks and leaves so it was in the brown, and green (but pale colours) I will have to take a photo of it.. I quite like it. I am not saying that if I had more money that I wouldn't have gotten something nicer but I got 4 cushions and a duvet for $60 so I was sooo happy with that especially with the fact that cushions like these usually cost about $25 each and I got them for $8 each... I was impressed with that.

I left mum there shopping while I came home and caught up on some stuff around the house and then went down to meet the boys at school.. we then picked mum up and came home.

Quinn and Corbin were soooo excited about Keas tonight as they were supposed to be getting invested so we left early so we would be there and when we got there the leader said that they couldn't get the scarfs made in time for the ceremony so it will have to be made this week and we can do it next week.... the boys were dissapointed and I was a little too as I took my camera and all to take the proud moment.

Blonde was there as her son was supposed to be getting invested too. They put up a tent in the hall last night and they had soo much fun as it was like a little camp and read stories in the tent etc... it was quite a big tent. I must say that Blonde has gained a lot... when she left my mum said that she is almost my size.. Now if you guys don't remember the start of me blogging we both went to Weight Watchers together and she was like 78 kilos wanting to get down to 65 and now I do think that she is around 100 kilos and not up to my size but getting there.. I think maybe she is happier now and contented and that is why she is gaining... she seems happier anyway... but her son is still a right pain in the arse that is for sure....

Oh that reminds me.. I saw Kris at the gym. Well she came and interrupted me while I was talking business with the gym owner about the wine bottle labels I am doing for him. She said that they are moving to Dubai in March OMG... that is a long way away... hope it makes her happy.. my oldest will be a little upset as he has a major crush on her daughter Ashley and he told me that Ashley feels the same way.. so we shall see what happens. I didn't tell him that she was moving away. I suppose I sort of think it is another whim of hers that will change as soon as she changes her undies.

So we went and got on the treadmill (I swear that the treadmill has a sign on it saying CM would like everyone to come and talk to her while she is trying to do some running GEESH) so I was doing my 1 minute on 1 minute off and in the middle of the running bit she came over so I had to stop running and start walking as I cannot talk while running... grrrr was soooo wanting to just keep going. Anyway... back to the subject... Kris said that she has gained 20 kilos and is back up to triple figures.. OMG that happened in only 6 months. I must say I don't like her at 100 kilos and I certainly thought she was too skinny at 80 kilos but the 90 kilos with how tall she is really suited her I hope she does go back to losing and doesn't gain it all back.

Jeremy seemed to think that she has gained it all back because she didn't do it slowly enough and that she didn't change the habits so that she wouldn't go back to being big. He said that he knows I am not losing as fast as I want but that he doesn't think that I will gain it all back because I am doing the leg work to change habits. I must admit that I agree... I get angry that I am not losing as fast as others but for me it wouldn't be good because I have done that before and I need to change my habits for it to stay off long term. Don't get me wrong others do it fast and keep it off just as well... but FOR ME it isn't good.... so it made me feel differently about it.

I am a little apprehensive about getting on the scales tomorrow morning. I have been good apart from a little slip up in my lunch yesterday but I think I will have a nice loss... more than my 500 grams but not a hell of a lot more.. so we shall see... I think I am back on track... and hey if in another 6 weeks I do the off the track thing... I certainly know that I will get back on track again... it is just what I seem to do.

My two email buddies... thanks for the last week you don't know how much it means to me!! MWAHHHH.

Anyway better get moving and go to watch Corbin at his swimming today...

Bloody terrible weather today.. sort of day I should be up in bed all snuggly reading my book.

So..... has anyone checked out my scrapbooking page???? I am doing a lot lately and sooo happy with them. Did another one last night.

Love ya all

Sunday

Why does the weekend go sooo fast.

My mother in law FOR THE SECOND DAY IN A ROW OMG OMG Shock took the boys from 11am to 1pm so we got out groceries done then. We also took advantage of not having them and went shopping for cheap digital cameras and OMG there are NO cheap digital cameras and the cheapest we could find was $165.... I know that is cheap for a camera but was hoping there was one for about $80 because we have to buy 2 and the boys are too young to have a expensive camera but I do know they love taking photos and it would be a great family thing to do as I always take my camera but my camera is too expensive.

So back to the drawing board until I can work out what I want to do.

OMG I am seeing the bloody WW advertisements everytime I turn on the bloody tv lately and it is driving me insane. I know I am still doing well with not going but I do miss the friendships that I had there...sigh but I am not willing to pay all that money anymore and I have a great email buddy that sorts me out he he he.

Got back from the groceries and then biked to my friends place but the wind was terrible on the way home. I felt good today because my friend Tanya when I first started was the one that said I couldn't lose 20 kilos in a year and not to overdo it so I proved her wrong and I did it... but I was watching her today and wanted to ask her why she has gained all her weight back. When I first met her she had lost 30 kilos and then another 10 and when she went down to Hokitika she had managed to gain it all back with more and she just looks so sad and the weight is scaring me... I want to be a friend and see if there is a way that I can help but I don't want to upset her either because as I know you can only lose if you want to and no one (even a well deserving friend) can help. But with her owning her own business and working 6 out of 7 days a week I am worried she is going to have a heart attack or something.

Anyway I will get off that now but it does worry me..

Did some more cards today and quite proud of it... it relaxes me.

I am also doing more and more digital scrapbooking pages and that has made me feel so creative and enjoying it totally.

Caravan of love

Ok....

Sunday:

Got all dressed up and went to my work for Black and White appointments and the boys looked sooo cute all dressed up with their hair spiked. Can't wait to see the photos. Corbin was playing silly buggers as he hates to smile when told to smile.. GEESH 8 year olds..

Then did our grocery shopping and came back and we were out at a friends place for a BBQ... it was a good afternoon but the couple that we went to see had had an argument the night before so my friend was really snappy with her other half... it was quite awkward actually.

ChrisH texted to have coffee while she was in Hamilton and I had said yes and forgotten about the fact that we had booked the BBQ in the week beforehand so I had to say no I couldn't make it but could we see her on the way back (I hope we do). Was going to see if my friend minded I ducked out but the mood she was in I didn't want to do that as I don't think she should have been left with hubby or she would have killed him.. he he he makes me appreciate my hubby so so so much more when things like that happen.

Feeling quite bloated today... got me monthly ho hum and everything is bloated and swollen.. I hate monthly's and can't wait till menopause I know I know not all rosy but OMG anything to not have a monthly sometimes. he he he

Jeremy and I have been discussing buying his Dad caravan off them because they have brought a house bus and are going to live in it when they retire... so he phoned his Dad last night to say we are still thinking about it and if it cannot fit on the side of our house then we probably won't be able to buy it as we don't have anywhere to store it ho hum and can't afford to pay for the caravan and also pay for storage... so anyway we have never towed a caravan before either so we are taking it away camping on Labour Weekend so that should be cool. We were going to go tenting but decided we would take the caravan and see how easy it was and if we would use it... so Athenree here we come. Might have to catch up with my LOVELY friend Lyn while we are there he he he and do lots of reading and relaxing and walking along the beach OH THE LIFE...

I would love to have a caravan it has been a dream of mine since I was little to have a family and go camping. Plus we wouldn't have to borrow a trailor (like we usually do) to go camping and also take all the stuff along too. This way we would have it all in the caravan and we could fit the bikes in the caravan too and go go biking while we are away places. It will be great for us that is for sure.

So the trial is for Labour weekend. How exciting.. .I love going away with my family and Athenree is not that far away for a weekend.

It is only costing us $156 for 3 nights for all of us and it includes the hot pools there too. I thought that was reasonable really for a weekend away.. If we had to go to a Motel it would be like $120 a night... not bad not bad at all.

Said to Jeremy that I would like to do it more often if we had the caravan like once a month go for a trip somewhere and save our pennies to do that. Hmmm we shall see.

Anyway love ya all

Day 25 - L Challenge

Got up and hubby coloured my hair this morning and streaked it and then went down for breakfast and did the chores and went and got the groceries. OMG I had grocery shopping it bores me silly he he he.

Came home and went for a bike ride with the boys it was a nice day.

Took the boys to their Grandmothers place at 3pm woohooo so they were staying the night there so that we can sleep in... in the morning woohooo.

Came back from dropping them off and spent a hour in bed just relaxing and reading my magazine... and if any of you have children you know that reading a magazine is hard when you have kids around (but I didn't woohooo he he he he).....

Hubby straightened my hair for the night and I got dressed up for dinner and felt quite pretty tonight. I don't usually wear white or anything with a pattern on it so I felt quite good.

Met everyone at the restaurant and we all got on so well and didn't stop talking the whole time. I really enjoyed myself and enjoyed the company and the food. I don't think I ate too much and didn't feel over full or anything. Delwyn and I had a Cosmopolitan and a Dragonfly cocktails and was having fun.

Lee-Anne and Colin came and it was soooo great to see them both and I am so glad that she came over. She was the only blogger that was there but both her and Colin fitted in well with everyone... what a wonderful couple they are.

My friend Pam came (the friend that just got separated and having trouble with her ex) and she enjoyed herself. It was nice to see her come out of her shell and chat and I think she had a great night.

There was my friend Delwyn who I used to go with to my Lean group and then there was Marina and David who are the parents of one of my son's friends. I really enjoy spending time with Marina she is one of the ones I go to afternoon tea with on a Thursday.

So anyway we started at 7pm and left the restaurant at 11.30 woohooo and got home at about 12 because we took Delwyn home. I really enjoyed myself.

Took the damn camera and then left it in the bloody car GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR was annoyed as I wanted some photo's but I am sure that Lyn will send me a copy of the one on her cell phone (that we texted to ChrisH he he he and said that here were the two tarts in Hamilton he he). How funny was that... Poor Chris (we still wuv ya).

I had a great night!! I am so happy that it was a great night!

Tomorrow morning hubby said that he would make me breakfast in bread and I want some grainy bread with poached eggs and salmon OHHHHH yummy.

Anyway goodnight everyone it is 12.30 and I am watching the rugby with All Blacks against Italy so far it is 43 against NIL (to us he he)... they aren't that good.

Chris H's Party 3 August 2007

Where to start....

The weekend was fabulous and it was also great to get away with hubby without the kids. We took the boys to school on Friday morning and then left for Palmerston North.... what a beautiful day to travel.

Decided that we would get lunch in Taupo so we stopped and went to the loo and then looked at the CD store down there and brought the Colbie Caillat CD and a CD for hubby and OMG Colbie is sooo great I love the CD.

Went to Woolworths and decided to be good and get stuff to make a salad sandwich and brought a little loaf of bread and had homemade sandwiches by Lake Taupo in the sun and it was nice.

We had chicken, lettuce, tomatoe, avocado it was soooo nice and decided that I would txt Lee-ane and Lyn to see where they were and they were in Taupo too so we kept texting to say where we were and then stopped at the top of the desert road to go to the toilet and the two must have gotten in front of us because when we got a bit further I said to hubby that I think they are two cars in front of us.... so we txt them and they started waving out the windows it was too funny because the guy in the car behind them must have thought they were nuts he he he. We all stopped for a coffee and a chat and it was really great to stop for a break and catch up with these wonderful ladies that is for sure.

Chubbymum, Lee-Anne and Lyn just after stopping for a coffee.

Got to Palmerston North about 4.30 and met up at Chris H place so we could drop off food for the party on Saturday night and then Hubby and I went to the Motel to put our things there and then went and met up with some work mates of his it was nice to meet them.

For dinner we got Indian and took it back to the Motel and OMG it was wayyy wayyy too much food and didn't realise that I cannot eat that much anymore. We got two different dishes with rice and so I only had two small bowls of food but I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach he he he so the night sleep wasn't good at all and I vowed never never never to do that again...

Saturday morning we got up and had a shower and then went in to town to see what we could get for breakfast... it was great to spend time with each other it is such a rare thing that when we get the chance it is fantastic. We went to Robert Harris and had a cooked breakfast and coffee and sat and chatted for about 2 hours and then decided it was time to check out the shops and see what we could see for the boys birthdays but we couldn't find much... so headed on back to the motel to get changed for the party..

I was soooo nervous about meeting everyone again and I think that was because they are such a wonderful bunch and I wanted maybe to measure up ya know....

Above Chris taking a photo of my hubby taking a photo he he he

Lee-anne sitting there waiting for everyone to arrive...
I reckon we were all nervous at this time he he he.

Lyn looking nervous too in her beautiful new top...

Janene and her daughter Jorja (hope I have spelt it right he he)

Felicity making a lovely platter of fresh fruit yummmy

We got on soooo well and everything went so fast and I drank way way way too much but half way decided to slow down and then start drinking again about an hour later.

The back from Left to right: Lyn (behind her Helena) by Helena is Felicity, ChrisH, Janene, Lynise behind her and at the end Chubbymum (with hand on ChubbyDad)

Above silly photo of us all he he he

Lyn (once again he he he) had an idea for everyone to put on these silly glasses and see what we looked like OMG we didn't stop laughing at how everyone looked.

The Christmas presents were sooo funny because we could go and choose a present but then if we liked what someone else had we could swap and so I felt really bad (afterwards) that I swapped with Helena as I didn't really want a box with $5 in it he he he I wanted a present he he he but as you can see below Helena wasn't happy he he he he...

It wasn't long before Lynise decided she didn't want her and so she took the present that I took off her and so I started them all off... he he he he and there were a couple of swaps it was sooo funny so thanks Janene for suggesting to Chris to do it that way it was great.

It was a interesting night and we didn't stop laughing and drinking and eating and being merry and the conversation was never EVER dull and it was always going it was great. I had a couple of great chats outside with Lyn and really enjoyed getting to know her a little more. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone more and it was fantastic and they are a really great bunch of girls.

I made two bottles with everyones face on it and christmas hats on their heads

Lyn came up with the idea of going through everyone and people saying whether you thought they were the same in person as they were on their blog and some interesting things came up on that... apparently I am quite intense on my blog he he he and in person I am not I am bubbly so that is quite interesting..

I always thought that what I was writing was exactly how I sound and how I talk to people. Hubby and I were discussing it on the way home on Sunday as I couldn't quite get how I was different but I suppose when you read someone it is how you are reading it and not how they are thinking it sounds or something like that.... so when I started this I was wondering how I actually wrote and was it how I come across... quite an interesting thing I thought.

It was also good to see that Janene got a couple of drinks in her and actually talked it was nice to talk to her and she just loves dancing and got everyone up dancing it was great to get some exercise in he he he instead of sitting eating and talking he he he...

Got up the next morning feeling a little ikky but I think that was the food more than the drinking and met Helena, Rachel and Felicity at Ezibuy to have a coffee and breakfast and it was great looking at clothes with people that understood how hard it is to find clothes that look great on bigger people but it was also great to go shopping and to help others when they didn't know whether the colour was right either... I am going to miss these girls and without their blogs it would be even harder.

I am soooo glad we are all friends and go on so well.

But I will leave the girls with this... I wonder how Lynise's night went he he he he she got that phone call and she was off like a shot he he he... hmmmm juicy news come on Lynise tell all he he he.

Honest

To be quite honest I thought about not weighing in this morning as I haven't weighed myself in a week and I usually weigh myself everyday.

The reason for not weighing myself everyday like I have been is because I don't want to dread my weight anymore. I do TOTALLY feel even though I am yoyoing around that I am losing inches because I have to put my belt in 2 notches and my clothes are getting to big in the arms and in the waist so I do feel even though the scales aren't saying it I am losing weight.

As yesterday's post you all know now that I am doing this on my own (well with my adorable hubby) at home so we both weighed in this morning. Hubby was up by about 800 grams (OMG) and I was up by 200 grams (OMG I thought it would be more). The reason I thought it would be more is because of Mothers day. Now I know it was a week and 2 days ago but my weight usually takes 1-2 weeks to show up and so I thought with the terrible mothers day I had that I would have had a dooozy today but it was ONLY 200 grams OMG OMG I am sooo pleased with that.

I have been having smoothies for breakfast and cutting down my carbs and having more protein and pointing... I am doing a mixture of Helena's bible and weight watchers.... I can't get my head off pointing... but it is a good thing I reckon because at least that is one habit that I have stuck with aye.

So do a little jig do a little jig Mothers day was combated and I only gained 200grams... if you saw what the boys cooked for me on that day you would wonder why I didn't gain more he he he.

Lyn you and me girl!!! Weigh in's on a Wednesday now wohooooo. Still thinking about the online WW so I keep my record going but not sure.

Anne re yesterday's comment... yes WW was getting rather repetitive for me and I totally miss it because I miss the company of the leaders so much but really I am fooling myself and maybe if I can get the money thing and wasting it out of my head then I will be fine.

I am going to do this and hubby was having a huge talk with me on Monday and saying to me that I have to start believing that I will lose the weight because I use negative talk sometimes and I noticed that I was using negative talk with Helena came up that week and when people were giving me compliments at WW I wasn't owning it and she said to me something like "take the compliment" but I was like shrugging it off saying I have yoyoed so much lately and haven't lost much... so I am going to take the advice.

I must admit the main thing keeping me going is all of you guys and your comments and your support and emails because without it I wouldn't have kept it going! I sit here wondering if that is a form of obsession or is it motivation for me. I look in my in box like a million times a day wondering if anyone has left a comment and when I do get one OMG it is like a fix ya know.... and I don't want it to stop. It keeps me going and the more I get the more I want to update and the cycle keeps going.... and if it is helping me lose this weight then wohoooo.

I have made so many wonderful friends online and I wouldn't want to give that up for nothing.

Anyway....

Went to the movies last night to see scoop with Hugh Jackman, Woody Allen and Scarlett Johansson and it was ok but OMG the acting was terrible from Woody and Scarlett it was like a B movie it was disgusting!!!! The only bonus about the movie was that we were sitting in the new picture theatre in Hamilton and the seats were devine and the screen was absolutly HUGE...

I went with my friend Denise that I used to work with at the University and then we had dinner afterwards and had a huge chat it was great catching up with her and we are going to do it again sometime.

Well I got home after the movies and read my email and had an email from a friends other half. They have been together for 11 years and have 2 kids 6 and 8 year olds... The lady is 48 and her other half is 36 (yep a big gap) we have been friends with the other half for like 18 years for me and way more for my hubby and he was our best man at our wedding.

She was sending an email to say goodbye and that G had left her on Tuesday with no word why or what she had done wrong just that he hasn't been happy for a while (arse) left her with 2 kids a mortgage up to the hilt and a holiday home they just brought in January and another huge investment too. He stopped his bank account and wages and refuses to help pay the mortgage or anything. OMG now I know we have known G for a long time but to do this to his kids is atrocious as far as I am concerned. She is beside herself and doesn't know why he left as they didn't have an arguement or anything and a week beforehand were planning holidays and other things.

Why do men do this? My husband doesn't even understand and doesn't know why and said he doesn't agree with what he did.

I phoned her and said NO this is NOT a goodbye and I refuse to let her think she is losing friends over this because I am not going to be one of them. Yes we met because of G but I like talking to her and it isn't going to stop because he is having a midlife crisis of some sort.

It was her birthday that week too and mothers day and her six year old son said to her on mothers day "mummy I am sorry I didn't get you anything but I can't get out and buy anything I am only 6" and she burst in to tears. He even promised the daughter (8 years old) that he would help her organise something for her to do for her mothers birthday and he never turned up and she was beside herself that she couldn't do anything for her mum... so her mum didn't have anything... no other half, no presents, no birthday.

OMG I am not liking G at the moment as I always thought he was the most responsible person and I didn't think he would treat his family like this at all... Why do they do it? I can understand he doesn't want to be with her anymore and that is fine because you shouldn't be with someone if you don't want to but to hurt the kids like that and not give a reason why you are leaving is really bad.

She said she hasn't slept in days and has lost 8 kilos and cries all the time... she said she even got down on her knees to beg him to come back and work on things and he was cold and said Fuck off... she doesn't know why he is being like this and she said it would be a little more bearable if she knew why but he isn't telling why.

OMG I couldn't sleep last night and hubby and I just talked and talked about what if it was us and it honestly felt like it was us and I feel soooooo sorry for her and words can't explain. I had a terrible night sleep.

I think I will phone her today to see how she is and I will tell her that I am here to babysit ANYTIME she needs a break.

Anyway on that note

I am going back to doing some work he he he

M.I.A

I know I have been missing in action lately but I still feel weird writing in here and if I would offend anyone.. I am sorry for that. I know I have things sorted with Sgt Major now as I talked to him on Friday and said what I thought and so did he. He said that it got out of control and it wasn't what he wanted to happen but was worried that if anyone read my blog that lived in my town then it would ruin his business and I can understand that. He also understood why I thought that he wasn't right for me and I said but that didn't mean he wasn't a nice guy just that he wasn't the right trainer for me.. so I feel so happy about that getting sorted now.

Today we put up the xmas decorations in the lounge and the boys playroom one will get done when they get home after being with their Nana Chris for the afternoon.

I have been getting in to my Digital Scrapbooking again and feeling quite creative... the only problem with me is that I am a perfectionist and sometimes it can take me days to finish a layout because I am sooo fussy he he he but if you want to check the latest one out it is here and I am determined to do one a week like Kate because I feel it is important to do and I just have to stop being so particular and get on with it and if I do more than one a week then that is good too.

OMG Kate you just start things he he he he and get me juices going on the crafts again.. my hubby is going to kick ya backside he he he because it take time away from him ha ha ha.

A friend that moved down to Hokitika January 2006 is coming back to town to live and they were up this weekend... we had lunch yesterday and it was great to catch up. Now... this is the lady that when I first started used to say to people when she introduced me like pointing at me and then saying "this is where I used to be weight wise" OMG I used to get soooo pissed off with that (now this friend just sometimes doesn't think before saying something but doesn't mean things in a nasty way... ) She has a heart of gold really. She was the one that said to me "20 kilos in a year is too much you won't be able to do that" and I lost 20 kilos in 10 months to prove her wrong...

Two weeks ago I said to Crusher that she is coming back to town in January and I want to reach my 35 kilos before she gets back thinking that she has probably lost more weight well...... she phone on Thursday night to say she would be in town this weekend to sort out things for January and could we meet for lunch and so we did yesterday and OMG OMG she has like gained 20 kilos since being away and I just wanted to hug her and say "is everything alright" because she just looked sooo big and she was soooo good when she was in town that I was really worried about her.. but you know what I felt sooooo good because I am so so so smaller than her now that it makes me want to keep getting this weight off as I don't want to do what she has done and gain it all back.

We went out to dinner (Japanese) with my friend and the couple she is staying with here in town last night and we had such a good night. I actually had forgotten what fun I used to have when she was around and all the guys got along too and we had sake and wine and lots of food (not so that we were stuffed) and then went back to her friends place and played Who wants to be a Millionaire it was soooo much fun and got home about 1am and it felt good to get out without the kids and have some grown up time.

Anyway going to have dinner now... yummmy chilli con carne yayyyy

Don't know what to write

I am still hesitant to write in here what I am feeling... and last night I wrote and re-wrote my post so much that I deleted it in the end.

I am feeling so much more positive about my weight loss in the last couple of weeks. It is like a free feeling!

I have been reading more about weight loss lately because I want to have as much inspiration as I can get. I also brought the book off trademe that KT was talking about Geneen Roth... she certainly makes you think.

I have been thinking about things she says in it like sometimes if you are craving something you should just have a little bit of the thing you are craving or nothing else will satisfy and you. Then you will end up eating more and in the last couple of weeks I have been trying to do just that and Monday night at 9pm I wanted a cheese toasty and hubby said you have had your dinner and you don't need anymore.

He was right but I wanted it and for the next day I wanted it and it got to Tuesday night and we talked about it and he made a cheese toasty and then we went halves and that satisfied my craving... and then that was it I have felt better for it since and I have not craved for anything since... maybe sometimes we just have to have a little bit (in moderation) and then we won't pig out.

I am trying to really notice things like that lately and so far I have liked what I am feeling and how I am coping with it. What a great book KT thanks.

I am going to a PT session with Crusher tonight with Debbie... we are having a double PT with Crusher to make up for the Lean.

Then Debbie and I are going out to Chartwell to do some shopping for our Secret Santa at work... and also have kebabs for dinner yummmyyyy. I can't wait I haven't had a girly thing like that in ages. I must admit I feel a little bit guilty as I don't exactly feel like I have been spending enough time with hubby lately either and last night at the kickboxing class I think he was a little upset that I paired up with Debbie and not him but she asked first... what was I supposed to say no sorry I have to go with hubby.. not that I didn't want to go with hubby just I hate being caught in the middle.

I think what I need to do is try and make our weekends for family and him so that I do give him as much time as I can and spend time during the week with Debbie and other friends. It is hard sometimes to juggle everyone and I hate upsetting everyone. But my family have to come first as I don't want to upset my family as they are important to me and I wouldn't give them up for anything in this world.

Anyway better go and sort out the boys as I have to take Quinn's friend home and get to the gym woohoo.

On top of the world

I am feeling so positive today.

Got up at 5.30am to go to Lean with Crusher and the others and was worried that Debbie wasn't going to make it as she was quite late this morning. We went for a walk to the dreaded River Road hill and went up and down it 5 times with slow from one pole to another and slow up and fast down and fast up and slow down and it wasn't too bad.

Debbie and I have been quite bored with just going walking and going up hills that today we said that if we were walking again then we wouldn't go back to LEAN till after xmas because if not we are going to end up hating going and we didn't want to do that.

So when we started walking Debbie and I looked at each other... it isn't that we don't like Lean and we don't like the people we are doing it with but it feels like we are at the back and the others are way ahead and we are left behind again... like not part of the team and quite bored with the walking.

We got back and played Netball first with a netball ball and then with a tennis ball.... OMG it was hard for me to see the tennis ball that when I saw the hand throw it I sort of timed it so that I caught it and most of the time I caught it and made a goal... it felt great to do something different and to work as a team not me and Debbie being at the back. I sweated more playing the netball than I did going up and down the bloody hill... it was great. I wish we could do that more often. I would love to play volleyball too... just for a change as I am not liking the walking... I don't mind every second time or something but it is just getting soooooooo borring.

I feel like I have lost centimetres this week... my skirt that I brought for Friday night was fitting me nice a week and a half ago and I put it on today and showed mum and it was kind of loose on me arghhhhh and I just brought the bloody thing.

Went out shopping today!!! Clothes shopping for a top. I just wanted something that would make me look absolutly fantastic at the Gym Xmas party... I have been getting quite a lot of compliments lately and I thought why not show me off he he he.

Went to a couple of shops to find the right top but there are a lot of shops out there selling only sleeveless tops and I have bingo wings so that doesn't help my self esteem.

I brought a Red sexy top (with sleeves) that has a criss cross at the front and it is a nice sexy red... my mum said to me (now if anyone knows my mum doesn't give compliments very often) but she said it really slimmed me down.... so the black skirt and the red top looks devine. I will take a photo on the night and show you what I look like.

I think I am well on my way to getting to the teens.... P.S thank you for the comments on the last post... Rachel I have taken heed on what you wrote and I think it is working... the portions sizes have been looked at and the fact that I am not eating morning and afternoon snacks unless I feel like I need food.

I can't believe the last two months... it has been the most challenging in my whole time on my healthy lifestyle but it has been the best because it is more positive as I am really thinking about what I do and not do to loose this weight.

It is challenging me to think about the food and the exercise and what I really want to do. It has also made me realise that I don't want to do things that other people are making me do or that I have to feel a certain way because I feel I have to to make someone feel happy.

Which is another thing... I am not going to keep friendships on that make me feel like I cannot talk to them and ones that don't really care about me... it sounds harsh when I re-read this but I am not meaning it to be harsh just that for years I was the sucker...

The reason I am saying this is because one of the parents at my work said to me yesterday "I can see how friends would suck off you?" and I said to her "what are you talking about?" she said that I listen and listen to everyone and sometimes do I wonder if anyone takes the same curtiousy when listening to you?.

I sort of looked at her with these eyebrows going up and she said "don't take it the wrong way but I always see you listening to people and helping people that you seem to always give give but do they give you the same respect or do they just keep talking?" Wow... didn't think anyone would say that to me.. especially a parent hmmmm. I do like listening to people and helping them... but sometimes I have to find people that will listen to me. Maybe that is the reason I write on here because people read about me... and want to read (well some of the time anyway) so that is my way to speak and people listen.

I am enjoying the fact that this blog is passworded!! I still want to keep writing on here and meeting new friends but I want to feel like I can write anything too... how great is that!!

Love ya all
Chubbymum
P.S going out tomorrow night so probably won't update till Saturday night and I can put up the photos of the gym night out. Woohooo

Weigh in 6

Hi guys

This is my 6th weigh in since getting rid of the acidic friendship... I have lost 4 weeks and stayed the same 1 week and last week I gained. I am not sure why I gained but as I told my wonderful WW ladies I am not giving up... I think they thought I might... OMG I don't want to do that.. I have said it but to be quite honest I don't ever ever ever want to be as big as I was again.... it is just frustrating when you know you are trying and you don't loose.

I gained 400 grams this week. Now two good things I didn't go below the 30 kilos and I have had a good streak of 5 weeks of good weighing and that is the most I have had all year because of my yoyo dieting.

I am more determined than ever to get this weight off my friends!!! It is not going to beat me!!

I think I have my exercise down now and I think now is the time to sort out the food even more and really look at it and really try to get my water sorted.

No more PISSING around body!! DO YOU HEAR ME!!!

I have three ladies coming around tonight and I can't wait to have a GREAT chin wag it is going to be fun...

I have started off the way I mean to carry on this week. The girls at WW seem to think that I am not eating enough... so I am going to make a big effort to eat more for breakfast.

Anyway better get some work done he he he... I just feel on top of the world even though I gained last night.. I am doing better in the last 5 weeks and feeling more positive in my journey. Yes of course there will be gains but I have been having so much fun with Debbie and life seems to be going faster.

It is not going to beat me!!

I am not going to be fat anymore!!!

Teens here I come... then Ninety's here I come

Addicted to blogs

OMG in the past week I feel like I am addicted to reading everyone's blogs because I need need need lots and lots of motivation to keep me going. I want to keep this feeling! I want to keep feeling so great.

Went to the gym with Debbie again this morning and we worked out little butts off.

Did 10 minutes on the bike and then did 2000 metres on the rower and it took me 10 minutes and 16 seconds... OMG I shaved off almost a minute from what I was doing last week.... what a high.

We went on the treadmill next and Debbie and I did 1 minute off and 1 minute on of jogging and walking... and yes Helena I did wish that it would hurry up at the end of the minute he he he... I am enjoying the fact that I can do it and that I am sweating like a pig as my t-shirt was wet when I got off. I had a little niggle in my knee so I have to watch it and make sure that I watch how I am running on the treadmill but I was doing it and the best thing was an old work mate of mine was on the treadmill next to me and she is like half my size and she was walking on the treadmill. I felt on a high high high.

We went down to the woman's gym after this and went into the sauna and sat there for about 10 minutes and then went and did the circuit on the woman's gym equipment.

This jogging thing is just amazing.... I would not have thought I could do that!!! I would not have thought it would happen until I was under the 100 kilo mark that is for sure.

I am sooo psyched about this weeks weigh in as I have been working my butt off this week. 24.2 kilos to get under 100 kilos and it is going to happen!! it is!!!

I have actually had all my water for each day this week too (THANKS to my WW leaders) I have tried so hard to make sure that those 3 litres have gone down my gob he he he. It is the hardest thing ever ever ever for me!! I just hate water but I want this weight to fall off me like it did when I started when I have lots of motivation and great people around me helping me loose this weight. Mojo was fantastic then!!! I want the Mojo from then back.

I have been tracking like a trooper too and I have been trying to stick to Crusher's food challenge... some days it has been a little hard because it is sooo repetitive and for six weeks hmmm not sure how it is going to be but you try having wraps every single day for lunch... what is inside them can be different but wraps for lunch everyday is B.O.R.I.N.G ARRGHHHH going crazy... especially trying to make them taste different so I don't get upset and eat the wrong thing.

I must admit the two weeks that I lost the 1.1 and the 1.2 were the weeks that I was doing Crushers other meal plan for me and it was fantastic. But they were interesting and I had two or three choices for the lunches so I didn't go stir crazy. I will do it till the end of this week but after that if I am feeling like I am going to stray I am going to talk to her to give me another option for lunch!

Today's wrap was lamb strips, carrots, lettuce, jalepeno hummus (little smear), mushrooms, falafel (homemade and little). It was devine!! it was different and a little bit of points there but it was at least better than chicken in it all the time or just plain salad.

After the gym we went in to town to look at vacuum cleaners for mum for christmas as she has hinted sooo much about them but didn't find one that we liked or one that we thought she might like so we will keep looking. But we went to K-Mart to look at the toy section with the boys to get their christmas presents sort of sorted... anyway we were in there and the boys went nuts over these skate boards... so while I was entertaining them hubby told them that he was going to the loo and then went and brought them and put them in the back of the car for them he he he so at least the big presents are now done for them and we just need to get little things for them. We did get a couple of things in Wellington while we were there.

Only the brother in law, father in law and step mother in law to go not bad really... We still have my mum but we know what she wants just have to find the right one... so that is pretty much sorted.

Hubby and I don't usually get presents for each other... I said the only thing I want is to go camping.. To be quite honest I would love it if he organised a camping trip with another family and friends to go with us... but I know my hubby and I am sure some of you know him by now too he just doesn't think out of the square and would NEVER do that unless I organised it and then what is the point he he he. So that is the only thing I want for Xmas..

The rest of the day was basically cleaning around the house... ho hum.... but it is something that all of us have to do.

I did play knuckle bones with the kids and trying to teach them how to play the game.. OMG it brought back so many memories playing the game with them... Corbin got upset because he couldn't catch them on the back of his hand and I had to keep telling him that he will get it... but it will take practice hmmm the patience of... nothing he he.

Anyway guys.. sooo tired and going to organise dinner.

Saturday practice for round the bridges

OMG

Got up had my god awful muesli (he he he just because after five days of the same food I am hating muesli now) and then took the boys into the library to choose some books. I love the library with the kids now as they can sit still and read and be good little angels where as about a year ago I could have strangled Quinn he he he he. I was sooo proud of them today just sitting there with their books and reading (well Quinny was looking at pictures but that is a form of reading) and Corbin is reading like 9 year old books (he is only 7)... they were little darlings.

I feel so peaceful in a library like there can be hardly any noise and people have to be quieter than they normally would be. It is so nice and it is like being in a candy store and you have to choose only a couple of things and don't hog at them all he he he.

Debbie texts me to say she had cut her hair and coloured it. I said to her take a picture and send it to me as she was soooooo excited about what it looked like. But she tried and she couldn't he he he so we met at my place and got to see the hair cut and colour and it looked fantastic.

What a change it was!! especially when I usually only see it up and since she cut it so it was just above her shoulders and the colour was a like a light light red with blond highlights it really suited her. We both commented how it was quite similar to mine... and I said "now we can say we are sisters and others won't know he he he he" as we are like only 2 kilos different from each other.

I would like to have my hair the same length as hers.... I used to have blond hair to the middle of my back when I first met hubby and married him and the day after we got married I chopped it off for a change he he he.. I would like to have it a little longer but hey that will be a while yet. I want to have more of a neck and shoulders to show it off with he he he he

Anyway so we took my hubby's car and went in to town where the race will start next weekend and we didn't stop chatting the whole way and it was both of us talking... we were like half way around the walk and I said to her Wow we have gone such a long way and I wouldn't have guessed it... it was amazing and I really enjoyed her company and we walked a similar speed (even though I was quite sore from the run on the treadmill yesterday he he GEE thanks Crusher).

It took us about an hour and a half to get around the walk and I don't think that is too bad for 6.3 km walk. The lake when I walk around here in Hamilton (3.8 kilometres by the council) takes around 50 minutes so we did the 6.3 in quite good time. I was really pleased....

I got to know Debbie so much more too and we talked about things like our Dad's dying etc and it got quite emotional but I think it was good that we finally could talk to someone else that understood.

We came back home and hubby made us chicken wraps with jalapeno hummus, lettuce, carrot, pickles, it was soo yummy.

After that we played PlayStation the star wars Lego one it was sooo cool... I felt like a kid again and Corbin was teaching Debbie how to use the controls and she was loving the killing of the robots he he he she was sooo funny.

We then sang sing star and we are like 20 points difference from each other... it was like we were sisters.. we like quite a lot of things the same. The other night when she came back for dinner we found out that we both love love love love love love (do you get the feeling that we love) pepper and garlic on things and lots of it... soooo funny. I have never met a person that likes it that much (especially pepper).

Unfortunately she had to rush off because she has a BBQ tonight (and when she was looking at the clock she thought it said 4.55 and said she had about fifteen minutes then she had to go home and get a shower and I said to her "Hun it is 5.55" OMG I have never seen someone jump so fast it was like watching the road runner he he he... she is too funny. The BBQ she was going to was her sister's wedding BBQ get together to sort things out for the wedding and she was late late late.

My thighs are in sooo much pain from the running yesterday but Debbie and I think we will go into the gym tomorrow morning and do it together.. she said she was a little nervous but hey we will be running (well jogging). I think I will start off with 10 minutes (1 minute jogging and 1 minute walking) and then take it in a week to 2 minutes of each and then change again or I will get bored I just know it.

Roll on for the weigh in on Tuesday. I have stuck to my food... I have been doing more exercise and stepping it up and it should show something if not I WILL SCREAM!!!!

Anyway I am exhausted.

I am sore

I was disgusted by what my scales this week will be saying because I can feel it in my undies (ewww I know I know) but they feel tighter and it might be to do with my monthly but I am not happy that Wellington and my bad food habits caught me up he he he... so I started off really well this morning and had my 3 weetbix with milk and then went to the gym.

Debbie went to the gym with hubby and I today and it was just the best work out I had had in ages. Because we are only 3 or 4 kilos apart in weight it felt fantastic to be there with someone that knew what I was about and how I felt...

So we
  • did 10 minutes on the bike to warm up and then
  • 1500 metres on rower
  • 10 minutes on cross trainer
then went downstairs to the new womans gym that they have arranged (instead of our lovely spa pools) and they set up the woman's gym like Curves gym where you do it for about 15 or 20 minutes on the circuit and it is a good workout... well Debbie and I decided that twice around was what we were going to do and we did the following:

Now every machine for 45 seconds doesn't sound like long but OMG it is when you have like 2 seconds break between the next machine:

  • Inner thigh machine
  • Sit ups
  • Cross Trainer
  • Arm push ups (not sure what they are called but machine pushing the bar up with weights)
  • Spin Bike
  • Leg Extensions
  • Cross Trainer
  • Arm pull downs
  • Spin Bike
  • Leg push outs
  • Spin Bike
  • Arm push outs
  • Outer thighs
  • Cross trainer
  • Laying on tummy lifting calf muscles up with weights (for the butt)
  • Spin Bike

and then repeating all the above again WHEW!

OMG was I pumped after that but I could feel that my muscles are only just getting back after having a week and a half off arghhhhhhh.

After lunch hubby wanted to mow the lawns and told me I had to go for a walk...OMG what did he think I was doing at the gym this morning (he was there btw)... ;-)

He said that I needed to get out from the kids and him and have some time so I walked up to Chartwell which is about 3km's away and when I got there I was exhausted and think that that was too much exercise for one day as I wasn't feeling that good... it doesn't help when the monthly is here and I feel fat and ugly.

Now girls I have 4.5 kilos to go till I am in the teens he he he he the TEENSSSSSSSSS so I have to get my A into G and look at my food.

I know I have my exercise sorted but that dreaded food is driving me insane!!! I just don't want to eat the good stuff and it is a problem...

Suggestions please!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am bored with the food I have been eating and need to find other recipes so if you have any can you email me on mandienz@yahoo.co.nz and I will try them out. I suppose that is the great thing about having this passworded I can put my email on here and not worry because you are all friends.

Ok so Kate and Jaxx are both doing the 101 things in 1001 days and I started one on the 27th September but I must admit I am not going as fast as Kate is through them but hey it is all good. I am inspired by both these ladies and the things they are doing that I want to improve myself too and see if I can do it. So if you want to check out what I am doing go here.

I didn't post this last night as I went out to the movies and dinner with Debbie and another Lean friend Delwyn and my hubby... it was a great night and it made it all the more real that I should stick to friends that treat me with respect...

We saw stormbreaker and I must say I wasn't that impressed with it. It was ok but in some parts it was rather cheezy he he he.. but we went to a Thai restaurant for dinner and had so much fun and talked and laughed and it was interesting and the time went soooo fast.

Anyway signing off for now.
