CHUBBYMUM Time to "MAKE MYSELF MY HOBBY" - From 2005 to 2008 I lost 42 kgs and things went wrong in my life with my mum and work and went in to major depression. I am trying my hardest to get back in to it and doing it for me. Going to "Make Myself My Hobby".

2 things I need you to know.
Number One
OMG one of my 101 things to do list has my all time thing I want to try and that is jet skiing...... and I get to do it tomorrow...Yes fellow bloggers TOMORROW woohoooo. My friend Marina phoned this morning and asked if I wanted to finally get out and do it blooodyyyyy hell... scared but excited at the same time. Something else to cross off my list.
I was supposed to be going to a BBQ at Kris's (for her daughters birthday party) and so I phoned and said that Corbin will still be there but I can't. I was a little naughty and I don't usually like doing this sort of thing but F it I am not going to hold my life because of her she has pushed me aside like a piece of rubbish enough times. (bitch I am... aren't I?).
Marina is the one that owns the mansion (which she calls the batch) ohhhhh so excited but scared at the same time.
Hopefully hubby will take photos. Their jetski is like worth more than my bloody car and I paid enough for that as it was he he.
I have been on track and been doing my exercise this week since coming back from camping.... I must say I am really proud of the fact that I only gained 100 grams on camp... really proud as I wasn't wonderful but I was careful so that makes a lot of difference.. This week I better lose that is all I have to say as I am trying my hardest.
Ok..
So for the Second thing..
Anyone interested in a bloggers camping get together in October (Labour weekend)? I thought it would be great to get together again but that it wouldn't have to be that it was at someones house and that way no one was having to do more than they should.... (I felt a little sorry for ChrisH last year with all of us there because wow can she entertain and it must have been a lot of work for her).
So what do you reckon?
9 months away so you have plenty of time to save (not that camping is that expensive anyway?) but if we are to do this then we all need to book it so that we are all in the same area of the camping ground so we can have a great party he he he. So if you have any suggestions as to where we could go then could you please email me at chubbymum@yahoo.co.nz and we can sort that out.
Been really good today: Went for a walk with the family this morning and decided that I would jog at the park for one half of it and then I jogged from one lamp post to another and then I jogged up a hill OMG up a hill... it was exhillerating I can tell you. Jeremy and I have taken a leave of absence from the gym for a month to see if we could still do enough excercise and not have to pay for the gym as it is a lot of money for us and any money saved is good this year. So we have a kickboxing set and a boxing bag, and I am going to get a rebounder, and we are thinking about getting some weights as well (so if anyone knows of anywhere where it is cheap but good please tell me) so that we can do it from home and we can go out for walks (as we don't have a treadmill) and this year isn't the year that we can afford to buy one with buying the caravan.
So Jeremy has done an exercise plan for this week that started last night and I must say I am sticking to it so far.... it has been fun (well it is only really one day let's see what it is like at the end of the week ha ha ha).
I am going to try and get back in to my digital scrapbooking as well because I have been seriously slacking in that arena since November 2007 and need to get back to the creative side of me.
Wow am I rambling on or what....
Look forward to hearing your opinions.

2008 here I come
So far this morning slept in till 9am woohoooo that doesn't happen often but I woke up with another headache... Jeremy seems to think I have a nasel infection or something like that... I think I agree with him.
Corbin and Quinn wanted friends over today so I said we would phone some and so Corbin phoned Cathan to come over and then Jeremy talked to Ange (Cathan's mum) and she said she was going over to their new house (they are building) and would drop him off but he could only stay till lunch as he has a friend coming over... and we said we were going berry picking so he could come with us... well 10 minutes later Cathan phoned and said that he couldn't come over today but Corbin can come over tomorrow... Jeremy thought that was strange so he said can I speak to your mum he said she was in the shower and would get her to phone back...
I went to pick them up from the building site and said to his mum that we could take Kiely as well (his sister) as she gets on with Quinn so well.
My New Year's resolutions are going to happen this year.. I am going to achieve them and they aren't unrealistic I reckon.
Me... telling Jeremy TAKE the DAMN photo please... hate photos he he he
Yummy blueberry's... we got two and a half containers full of blueberrys yummmmmy

And a picture of Quinn and Tahlia... hugging... hmmmm not sure about this one... was being quite protective when they hugged and said now now... you guys are rather young... at least it was only a hug GEESH... OMG I am going to be in trouble with this boy when he gets to be a teenager that is for sure.
This is them making blueberry muffins and Corbin and Jeremy below making them too... sooo cool.
We went for a walk tonight and went the big block too... it was great and then tomorrow morning we are off to the gym woohoooo back on track back on track.
Good night all.

Weekend non stop - I MEAN NON STOP

Corbin was giving Quinn a birthday hug just after he got his box with his go cart in it.
Here are me boys putting the go cart together and they had so much fun with all the spanners etc.
After it was finished they had a go on it and we couldn't make it any smaller to fit Quinn's feet on the peddles but he will grow in to it and he had fun anyway.
They got back at 12.45 and the kids starting arrive at 1pm where we had cake and chips and then took off for ten pin bowling (oops forgot to mention that Corbin didn't come back as he went to the next door neighbours of James and Jonathons as it was Dion's birthday as well. OMG birthday's galore.
The 6 kids for Quinn's party at ten pin bowling were soooo good... I had a great time.
Quinn almost blowing out his candles and Janae was making him laugh in front of him... then he went all shy he he he.
Tahlia Rose in the jeans and Janae in the dress... we had a girls lane and a boys lane because the girls chickened out when we got there and I had to show them what fun it was and so us girls went on one lane together and it was sooo cool... wasn't used to girly screams etc he he he and BOY did they scream.

Janae cheekkkky smile I had to get a photo of it. I just want to pinch those cheeks of hers he he.
Liam and Quinn using the frame to send the balls down. But by the middle of the game they were doing it without the frame... soooo cute seeing them trying to lift these heavy balls.
Left to right: Liam, James, Jack (with ball) and Quinn... these boys get on so well it was great and they are all in the same class at school too.
Tahlia Rose told me in front of Quinn that she was going to marry Quinn and she was going to be Mrs Andrew he he he toooo funny. I said really??
Quinn at the start of the year said he was going to marry Janae and now he likes Tahlia.

This photo of Quinn with this present was cute. Tahlia's mum said that she had to make the wrapping paper so here is the wrapping paper for Tahlia it was pretty and Quinn wanted me to take a photo... he also wanted to keep the paper but Nana didn't know and she threw it away geesh... but I got this photo so that is great.
So once we dropped them all off at home it was off to Dion's birthday party to get Corbin but we were asked by the parents (who I go to coffee with) to stay for dinner and the magician and to also go for a swim in their heated pool and spa pool. The boys enjoyed themselves. The food was fabulous and the company was great too.
Sunday
This day was our day to sort out our back yard. So we went and borrowed the trailer from our friends and we started putting the soil, rock, and MORE clay from our side of our house and put it in a trailer to take to the tip... We did 3 trailor loads of this and OMG I was soo soo soo sore afterwards.
In the photo below you can see where the soil was up to and I suppose it doesn't look like much but when the clay was wet and there were rocks etc in it IT WAS BLOODY HORRIBLE.... so I did a lot of exercise that day. So as you can see it is nice and flat now and I can finish painting the fence (on a nice sunny day that is for sure).
Had a lovely hot hot spa bath after doing all that because I was sore. The boys helped out heaps and it was fun. I thought they would have been a pain. We didn't finish it all with the 3 trailor loads.

Monday
Got up at 9am and had breakfast and then took the boys indoor rock climbing. I had sore arms from the 3 trailer loads of dirt and so it was even worse after 2 hours rock climbing with the kids. They had so much fun and Corbin was like a little spider monkey he just enjoyed it so much. I find it quite amazing how I always thought that he wouldn't be a very physical child and wouldn't like that sort of thing because he loved reading but he just loved it. He is liking touch rugby at school and soccer and sporty things and it amazes me how he does... especially with glasses but he is soooo a boy and also yesterday helping us with the dirt and digging a lot and putting it in the wheelbarrow to put on the trailer. Quite amazing.
Whereas Quinn liked organising the trailer and making sure that it would be top heavy etc... such cool boys today.
Ok so we got back after that and had another trailer load done for the tip. Took Corbin to YET ANOTHER birthday party of his best friend Cathans and Quinn, Jeremy and I took the dirt to the tip and brought a trailer load of river stones for our retaining wall. It didn't quite finish the retaining wall but I am happy with the result... as you can see below. But mind you the retaining wall is LONGGGGG and just half of it was a trailer load. We have another trailer load to go I would say.
Next week I am seriously going to keep still and make some more cards.

So that is why I have been missing in action this weekend and ho hum I have to go back to work (took today off)... don't wanna go back to work tomorrow that is for sure.
The funniest thing was that Jeremy and I were putting the rocks in the retaining wall in the pouring down with rain and the neighbours must have thought that we were nuts. There was thunder and the rain was coming down so hard that I had drips coming down my face he he he but I refused to stop because I don't want to drag this out every weekend. I want to enjoy it and have fun in the sun on my days off ya know. There was thunder and lightening out too he he he and everytime we thought the lightening was coming we would put the spades down and stand there he he he...tooooo funny... and my mum and Quinn were looking out the window laughing at us.
Good night everyone.
Not sure about my food choices this week but I have done a lot of exercise but if I don't lose weight I don't. I have lost 2 weeks in a row so hey if I stay the same or gain it is all good.
Love ya all

Ramblings
It is not just walking uphill that provides benefit. Walking downhill has its advantages as well. Doctors in Austria examined two groups of people.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday

It was a lot of un. My mum came with us and took some of the photos and I wasn't upset about this photo like I would normally be. I don't think I look as bad as I used to think... so that was a positive just there.
Wow how the time went really fast. The kids enjoyed it and I would take them again and it got them some exercise.
We then went back to my friends place for coffee and took look at the photos we took.
Friday was a lost day for me as I haven't been feeling well and had huge headaches and sore throats. My mum let me sleep in in the morning till 9am but it wasn't long enough and at 9am the boys were bouncing up the stairs wanting to play OMG OMG wish that the school holidays would hurry up and finish. So they watched a DVD up in our room while I tried my hardest to get some sleep.
My aunt that had the stroke phoned mum at 9.30 and they were talking and I got on the phone and she burst into tears. Her words were slurred and she was crying because it was soooo hard to try and talk. She was really good when talking to mum as she didn't want her to know how she was feeling. My cousin got on the phone and said that she was taking it better than expect and that they found a clot in her brain. I didn't know what to say and tears started to well up in my eyes. We are so far away and couldn't help at all... it is just not right. But at least she phoned so my mum could relax a little.
So about 11am I got out of bed and went downstairs and decided to have my lunch before we went out to the library to take the books back. It was the only place I could think of that we could go and the boys would be quiet and I could just sit because I was feeling like crap.... well they got restless and so when we got home I got them on their bikes and we went and got some apple muffins (little ones) and took it over to a friends place to have coffee... I didn't have any of them but I needed to get out and apparently she needed someone to talk to. Her name is Sherryl and things have been getting on top of her lately. OMG I seem to be attracting people with problems lately. Hubby said that it is because I am a good listener... maybe I should have done the lifestyle course like I said at the start of the year. Hmmm still thinking about it.
I have been really slack with my blogging lately... I don't really know what to say on my blog lately...
I have been on this website called www.walkingwithattitude.com and I have been on another website to get more support as I am needing more support than my blog lately because I don't want to go back to the fat person. But I am not happy all the time and I used to be able to say on here but haven't felt like I could in the last couple of weeks...
I know I haven't been losing lots each week but I am losing and in 5 weeks since leaving Weight Watchers I have only gained once and that was only 100 grams. I have lost 1.3kilos in 5 weeks and others can loose that in 1 week but for me... that is still a loss and I am not gaining... it is all good. I get frustrated sometimes when others loose more than me and I have to cope with that... it is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but I can't go back to the old ways.
Saturday
Got up at 8.30 and had breakfast with the kids... I love weekends where we sit and have breakfast together it is nice to chat. Then we got the car ready for going grocery shopping and on the way decided to take the boys to the lake so I could walk around it. What a glorious day weather wise out there. I had my head phones on and it took me 35 minutes to get around it. When I first started walking around the lake it took me 55 minutes so I have improved soooo much.
While I was doing that hubby and the kids were at the playground. We then went and got our groceries and then came home to make homemade nachos for lunch yummmmmmy...
Hubby took me out to get a basket for my bike and then we went for a bike ride to my friend Tania's and around exploring little paths... it was great we went 8.5 kilometres it was a great ride.
Tonight I am spending most of my time on invitations for the expo... it is only one week till I will be there and I am sooo nervous and not really wanting to do it but I know I have to... he he he
Tomorrow mornign I am taking the boys to the gardens where What Now is going to be... so we have to get up at 7am and it is on till 10am OMG that is soooo early.. am I a sucker or what... ??? he he he
Anyway
Good night

More thinking
Thanks guys... I do realise I do start having a mini meltdown after having morning tea's with Kris and I don't know why I keep doing that??? This time for morning tea Kris didn't bug me as she usually does and it wasn't all about her like it had been ALL the other times we had morning tea etc and to her credit she is doing really well. I do know I don't want to spend a lot of time with her anymore but I do have to see her a lot with school (as her daughter is my son's class).
My breakfasts have been really good this week and I have been not worrying about them and they have been really filling.
I had been doing soooo well until I started this 10 week challenge with myself and then with others... why do I do that to myself. I go in with all good intentions but the competition (even with myself) puts me on a downward spiral. I go the opposite way.
Thanks everyone re your comments on the bread and I have been cutting down on it for the last two days and feeling much better and less bloated so that has been a bonus that is for sure.
What a day I have had.... I didn't have time to work on my business as it was taken up by kids. This morning I tested all the kids in Quinns class with their spelling and then from 11 I was with Corbin's class as they had a belonging day. It was were lots of different clubs came to school to tell them about their clubs... there were scouts, girl guides, karate, orienteering, rock'n roll, zoo club, tap dancing, jazz dancing, table tennis.
The kids got to choose 4 activities they would like to go on and then their first two choices were chosen if they could get them in with the numbers and Corbin chose Rock'n Roll and Orienteering and so I went as parent help and it was fantastic and now we are going to the Rock'n Roll club on Friday and the best thing is that Quinn is old enough to do it too so they are starting young. I sooooo loved Rock'n Roll as a kid so having my boys wanting to learn just makes my heart skip a beat woohoooo. Told hubby about it and he said well we will just have to go on Friday night and take them and it is only $3 each a week and that isn't bad at all.
So that is exercise for the whole family if hubby and I do it as well.
Corbin loved the orienteering too and that will be good exercise for the family too as you have to walk to find the next part of the challenge so I am looking forward to that. Apparently they can go to the Hamilton gardens and they have orienteering maps there and little numbers on trees etc to find at the gardens so that will be great as a family thing as well...
Then I had to take some magazines back to my friends florist as she needed them for a wedding that she is doing and back to the coffee shop by the school for a coffee with the girls I have coffee with every Thursday and then picked up the boys from school..... OMG the day went so fast and now I am veging out because I am all kids and schooled out ya know.
So todays food is:
Breakfast: Fejoia cereal with green milk, mandarins
Morning tea: Pumpkin seeds, almonds
Lunch: 5 sushi, V
Afternoon tea: Mocha frappe (made with water, no cream)
Dinner: Soup made with only veges (homemade hmmmm)
I need to jazz up my exercise and find another group that I feel comfortable with because I am getting bored with my exercise and need to do something different. Rock'n Roll is going to be something different and something I can do with my family... also need to find other things to do at the gym to jazz things up.
Can't say I want to go aqua jogging or anything because it is too cold and I would chicken out more than go really.
Maybe a sports group but I am a little chicken to do that too... hmm something to ponder on.
Thank you to all of you offering for me to go with you down to Chris H's... hubby said he wants to go down and that we should go and get away for the weekend. I just worry ya know... I have to registrations for our cars and Corbin's birthday, Quinn's birthday 20 days later and in the middle of that my birthday and fathers day and on top of that the expo is costing a bit too he he he so too many money things in those couple of months but hey I will find a way. I really appreciate the emails and the comments because they made my day knowing what a wonderful bunch of ladies you are and so caring. Why aren't we all living in the same town aye!!! life would be fantastic with such a bunch of you in walking distance.
Went to a seminar thingy last night by parents inc on Raising boys and OMG I haven't laughed so much in my life and we had so much fun with the couple we went with. I learnt some things and I was happy that a lot of things we already did too it was great. Corbin asked Jeremy this morning "Dad what did you learn last night" and Jeremy said "That you are awesome" (I was listening to this upstairs while they were down stairs) and Corbin's voice went high pitched and said Really Dad is such a happy voice it was great to hear and Jeremy said that he was smiling from ear to ear and he had said the same thing to Quinn so my boys were in such a great mood when they heard that from their Dad. We learnt that at the seminar to say that everyday to your sons because they would love it and they did. So simple but so effective.
Love ya all

Feeling fantastic
I wore black jeans and a dressy black top to work with high healed short boots and I feel fantastic.... got a funky necklace on and I feel on top of the world.. hair is feeling great... makeup great and so I FEEL F.... FANTASTIC he he he.
I have made a couple of decisions in my life this week (I will tell you at a later date) and it has made me have a much better approach on life.
I went kickboxing last night and Debbie actually turned up when she said she would OMG that was a shock at that and it was a great class and I sweated like you wouldn't believe as Liz had a new routine and it had me jumping and going for it.. I can certainly tell the difference between Liz's class and .... and we made our decisions about what exercise is going to be done...
So here it goes:
Monday - Kickboxing with Liz
Tuesday - Walk or gym
Wednesday - We are going to try Liz's Lean class as we have been asking and asking Joy to organise a night one and she has decided no she will do a kickboxing class as she can't get enough people to do a night lean... doesn't make sense to me because if they can do a kickboxing class then they can do a lean class hmmmm.
So Debbie and I decided since we were paying for the gym anyway we may as well join Liz's Lean class. Because I am not going back to the morning Lean when Kris is still there.... my life has been better since getting her out of it...
Thursday - either a walk with hubby at night or a walk by myself during the day.
Friday - PT with Joy
The weekend will be free!!!! and for me not to feel guilty.
Update later.....
Went for a long walk with hubby and the kids tonight and walked at a fast pace and swinging my arms as well to try and get my heart pumping faster. We did our big block but I decided I wanted to go further and do an even further block and doing a hill climb with it.
I was sooo proud of myself and the last bit going up the hill to our place the boys were complaining how hard it was to get up the hill with their scooters that I thought OMG I don't want to listen to them complaining so I started jogging up the hill and hubby said to the boys "come on boys lets catch up to mummy" and so I ran faster so they couldn't catch me and I got up the hill and they didn't catch me even with scooters woohooooo... and then ran down the hill back home it was fantastic... I feel fantastic because I wasn't puffing as much either...
I have felt great today and I hope the rest of my week goes the same way.
Love ya all

Back on track
I changed things and went back to my kickboxing class on Monday as I felt better with my back and thought it was time to get back in to it. Hubby said even though I had a blow out on the weekend the rest of the week was good and I am also putting back on muscle that I had lost with being out of action for a month and I have been walking every night and doing my personal training so.... it was just the weekend and I shouldn't complain.
- So I went to the kickboxing on Monday (as I said)
- I went for a walk/jog last night woohooooo I walked one pole jogged the other pole then rested while hubby caught up as he couldn't jog with his back.
- Hubby and I have diaryed our time on Friday to sort out the food situation and make a proper list.
- I have been drinking my water...
- So this week is going to be a doozy... I am going to catch up.
I gained 500 grams last night at Weight Watchers and I thought it was going to be like a kilo or more but it wasn't so that was all good. I know a gain isn't good but hey...
I was a grumpy cow in my posts and I do realise that sometimes reading posts like that you just want to jump in the screen and slap the person.
I have also realised that it was a week before my monthly and maybe that is why I wanted to snack all the time. It will be interesting to know what happens next month... and if so I have to work out some strategies aye.
The reason I haven't posted is because I have been busy with the soccer practices and walking and the gym that I haven't been much on the computer. I have tried to comment on a couple but haven't been able to... I still love you all though and tonight I am going to try and get up to date with you all... don't forget me aye he he he
I have to get a hair cut this week OMG it is driving me insane.. I haven't had one in over 3 months GEEESHHHH and that is soo not like me. It will only be a hair trimthough because I am trying to grow it.... but the fringe is just atrotious he he he.
I did have a bit of a rowl with Debbie last night at Weight Watchers... there was a new lady there and she was asking me all these questions on how much I have lost etc so I took out my comparision photos to show her and Debbie piped up and said "God you aren't bringing those photos out again are you?" I said to her "Yes and I am damn proud of them Debbie... do you have a problem with that?" she shut up after that.
Sometimes I wonder if she has manners up her arse!!
I wasn't showing her the photos just the lady that asked.
Then Debbie said to the lady "she won't mention her weight because she isn't telling anyone" in this tone and I said "NO because some people make it a competition"
OMG this poor lady must have thought that we were teenagers... I was just tired of the little comments and usually I let them slip but after gaining I wasn't in the mood for it.
After the meeting Debbie litterally shoved her weight loss book in my face and said "see how much I have lost"
I said "No Debbie I don't want to know!!! I don't mind knowing if you got to a milestone that is fantastic but I don't want to do this..." she walked off in a huff
I turned to her and said "Do NOT get in a huff with me I am not playing this game... I have explained so many times what I feel about this and you keep on going on and I AM NOT DOING THIS AGAIN"
She apologised but OMG how many times do you tell a girl that you don't want to compete without getting sooo frustrated. She makes me sooo fucken mad. I really enjoy her company but this constant badgering me about what weight I have lost is doing my head in and I think last night was just the last straw...
It was sooo nice to have my Weight Watcher ladies back.. OMG I don't want them to go away ever again... I missed them so much as the lady that took over Sucked big time.
Anyway tonight is another kickboxing night and Debbie has asked to go so that should be good.
Oh and Helena if you are reading this... I think I have organised for the Monday for you to go to the class... not sure if it will cost $10 or not but I am working on it he he he as they do do casual ones.
Anyway I will update later as I am at work and really need to get back to it.
Love ya all and I do SOOOOOOOOOOOOO appreciate the comments and have taken it all in and love you all dearly.
Love Chubbymum
Wednesday, 25 April 2007
So we had a day off work today and it was quite a family day. We got up at about 8am and went downstairs and had a family breakfast. It was nice to all sit down and have breakfast together because usually I am off as soon as finishing breakfast and my youngest is just getting up and the oldest has breakfast before I get down during the week.
Went and had a shower and then all of us went for a walk so I could get sushi for lunch it was a great walk and the weather was beautiful we all had a great time. When we got back I had my sushi and the others had tuna sandwiches.
We went to the building depot today to get stuff for my Wedding expo stall so that is going to be interesting getting it all together. I didn't spend too much so that is a bonus as well.
Got home and fixed up the study so that tomorrow I can sit and start a wedding that has booked.
It was then a the time to go down to the soccer field to go to Corbin's soccer practice. What a difference this year with the practices and the coach is doing so much better and not doing so much running and pressups and trying more with the techniques. I enjoyed watching how interested they were in the practice today and not getting frustrated with the coach making them do push ups ya know.
I am just rambling today.... I weighed myself today at home grrrrrr (and as usual the day after WW weigh in I am lighter grrrrr). I was 121.1 (at WW it would be 120.3 grrrrr does that not rip your nighty... I know it does mine he he).
I must say OMG I feel skinny today. I woke up feeling lighter and I feel slimmer and loved looking at myself in the mirror. I know that I haven't lost that much but OMG I felt great today. So I am going to take that as much as I can!!!
Hubby's mum went to soccer today to watch the practice and then came back for dinner and then we played Monopoly with the kids it was great.... now glad that the boys are in bed and I can relax.
Anyway not sure what else to say tonight so I am going to go.
Love ya all.

First Weigh in for 10 week challenge
I lost 300 grams but I am SOOOOO happy with that because I had a huge loss last week (even though WW said it was a gain) so 300 grams after 2.1 loss last week.
So hey it is 300 grams and I wanted it to be 500 grams a week but..... I have lost. I feel soooo happy about it and I feel more alive in the last couple of weeks being back on track but allowing myself treats and also not stressing about the food. I am doing a little bit of everything.... and thinking about what I am eating and when I REALLY want to eat so it is great.
Can you tell I feel good. Celtic Girl, Abba and Chrish come on girls your turn next... show us your wonderful losses etc this week. I know you can ALL do it and we will do it and if not this week then there are 9 more to go ya know... Just that we are all trying and that is the main thing aye.
I am trying to update this and watch Dancing with the stars at the moment. I want to learn how to salsa etc when I lose a little more weight.....
Ok this week is going to be a doozyyyy I am going to get more weight off and it is going to happen and as long as in 10 weeks I lose 5 kilos then I will be happy.
I am back feeling better about exercise and not scared to do anything for fear of my back. I still have to be careful for a couple of weeks but I am going to go back to Kickboxing class on Monday night. I can't wait... I keep on getting people ask when I am coming back so hey... have to go aye he he he.
I am off for the rest of the week now woohoooo. Tomorrow is Anzac day and hubby and I are off and we are going to go for a bike ride or walk with the kids and take the soccer ball and teach Quinn what dribbling is all about he he he.

What a day!!
When we got home a little while later and hubby's mum came around and wanted to take us (and my mum) out for afternoon tea so we went out to Woodlands in Gordonton... OOOHHHHH it is soooo pretty out there... I can understand why there are so many weddings at the function centre... the photos would be fantastic there. So we had a coffee and a piece of cake (yes a piece of cake but I don't care because ALL in moderation is what I am trying to do now)
We took so many photos and everyone just had a really good time. The day went so fast and the kids were just playing on the field with soccer balls etc and having fun. It was fantastic!!!!
The boys found a tree stump and climbed on the top and starting dancing with their backsides he he he so I took a photo without them knowing.
Below is my mum... she is 76 this year. I reckon she looks fab for 76.
Food Today:
Breakfast: 2 Toast, left over Macaroni
Lunch: Small tub of icecream (I know that I am eratic about my food but I didn't feel like lunch and I had this after our walk around the lake).
Dinner: Corn and Corned Beef homemade fritters
Water: 1 Bottle (I am slacking totally on the water front grrrr).
Exercise: 4km walk around the lake.
I have been trying my hardest to go with the flow with my food lately. I haven't been totally wonderful with the actual food but I thought for my first week on the challenge I would work out the hunger pang thing and not eat when I don't want to. I think that is why in the weekend I haven't been wanting to have lunch because I have been feeling so full... so I thought well if I don't want food why do I have to eat? Isn't eating supposed to happen so that we can survive and make sure we don't starve? Well that is what I am doing!! This has to work doesn't it... and if it doesn't then next week I can go back to what I was doing before.
I just want to work out what is right for me at the moment.
Love ya everyone

Woohoooo - I have been SHOPPING!!!!
I brought a toy today for my business!!!
A new Laptop!! Woohooo bloody Woohooo.

After talking with my friend on Wednesday it was discussed and the best option was to Lease a laptop... woohoo so I went down to Harvey Normans and I have leased my new laptop for 2 years and if there is anything that goes wrong with the laptop they will replace no problems and if there isn't one the same then they will upgrade it for no extra cost.
So wooohoooo... but I am typing this on my old laptop till I can get everything set up on my laptop. It has a webcam built in on it too he he so I am not too sure what I will use that for but thought maybe once a month I might save a little movie thingy and put it online so I can see the difference in my face etc while losing the rest of my weight... that is if that is what I can do with it because I have never used a web cam before he he...
I mowed the lawns today and did the grocery shopping as well... The whole day was spent doing those two things and of course buying MY NEW COMPUTER he he he.
What is wrong with me. I haven't been naughty but in the last two days I have not been enthused about losing the weight. I think it is because I am concentrating on my Papaya invites business more and not on food and exercise. How do people balance both? I am not too sure... how I am going to concentrate on both grrrr.
Hubby paid for my business website too and so it will be www.papayainvites.co.nz when we design the website that is.
OMG so this feels so real now. I have a business bank account, website, business card and a new laptop OMG OMG and I am going to my first expo too! I think the next thing I have to do is see how much it is for business banners so that I can have one on the expo site or it will look a little bare and I don't want to pay half for the stall and Tania's business get all the look ins ya know.
I have been thinking about how to get people to come to my site at the expo too and thought that maybe I would do a little competition so that I get them filling in forms with their names and addresses and get them to answer a question and then they can win one of my labels for a bottle of wine and I will design a label for one lucky winner... hmmm so what does everyone think about that?
BTW: ChrisH woohooo I am so glad that you are joining the 10 week challenge with us that is fantastic. I am sure that we are all going to do very well.
Food today:
Breakfast: Chicken bacon, Egg, Toast (weekends are nasty for me with big breakfasts)
Lunch: 10 rice crackers, cheese slices (thin)
Dinner: 2 Tuna stuffed potatoes, salad
Snack: V (yes ChrisH I am addicted arrghhh), Bits of hubbies chocolate easter egg (tut tut)
Water: 1 bottle
Exercise: 50 minutes lawn mowing, 2 hour grocery shopping
Love ya all

A lot of thought
Went to my physio this afternoon... I wish this man would make up his mind. I told him how my calf muscle with those exercises weren't helping and that my back is still sore... he seems to think I haven't pulled my calf muscle and that maybe I have slipped a disk in my back and it is pinching a nerve that is why my right leg is sore OMG wish he would work out the problem and sort it out GEESH.... so he has told me no bike riding!! No cross trainer and no rower!!... I can go on the water bike (with arms only) and I can go on the treadmill but I have a certain way I have to stand OMG I am going to feel like a freak!!!
He said I have to be really careful and I have to have a lumber bar put behind my back and every two hours I have stretches to do where I am on my front and I have to sort of do press ups (x 10) with my upper body aparently it stretches my back or something???
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First: THANK YOU Tracy, Janene, Anne, Janene and Rachel for you comments in yesterdays post... I really appreciated them. I have been doing so much thinking that I guess I just didn't know what thing was right for me anymore and was getting really confused.
I just know that I don't want to give up this journey ya know?? I don't want to give up and go back to where I was before. I am tired of hobbling around 121 and 122 and it was frustrating me.
I really sat down last night after reading Katiepies blog and started thinking about why I am doing this to myself. I started trying to work out why I lost 1.5 last week when I don't usually lose that amount in a week and I think I have figured it out. I have been trying so hard to lose 1.2 this week that I have fallen on the wayside because of two things:
1. Exercise: Well this is obvious because I haven't been able to do any... and that can't be helped with my back being involved as well as my calf and hamstring. I could go to Aqua but even the driving is painful at the moment with my back.
2. The week I lost the 1.5 I wasn't thinking about my food.. I was tracking but I was eating when I really felt hungry and I wasn't obsessing about what I was going to have for my next meal. And I think when I read Kates post it made me realise that I was doing some form of intuitive eating (IE as she calls it) and it worked for me as I didn't stress about what I was eating. It was more relaxed.
Now I am not saying that I am totally going to do IE and that is it but I do feel like I have to keep my form of IE going and see how it works.
I do believe in Weight Watchers and it has gotten me to 33.8 kilos lost so it isn't all that bad but I was getting frustrated as I had been on it long enough now that I am getting bored... but as the old saying goes anything you put your mind to will loose you weight but only if you want to loose it and stick to it. It is the sticking to it that gets people down. I can't believe that WW doesn't work!!! and to hear that makes me want to say "NO you don't want it to work or it would work as it is a sensible plan".
I know it isn't working for me but that isn't because of WW it is because of me. So I am going to tweak it for me.
I have to put in this that I read today about IE:
The "Pee" Analogy
Here's an analogy that helps to convey how weird and unnatural dieting really is.
The process of feeling hungry, experiencing a body-wisdom-based desire for a certain type of food, eating the food, stopping when satisfied, and then going off to do something else and not giving it another thought is "normal eating". This is completely analogous to what occurs when you have to pee. You sense your body's need, you go to the bathroom and relieve yourself, and then go back to what you were doing without giving it another thought. In both cases, you read a physical signal, meet the physical need, and give it no more thought. That's normal .
Now imagine what a strange world it would be if we were told that peeing had to be done on a schedule - we should pee 4 times a day, and it should be at 4 hour intervals and we should only pee one cup at a time. If we need to pee in between times, we should hold it. If we want to pee more than one cup, we should hold that for the next time. Sound bizarre? That's basically what a diet is.
It really makes sense doesn't it!!
Apart from Easter as I know camping with the three families I am not going to be 100% good but I am going to watch my thoughts and hunger pangs on what I think I need and don't need this weekend and I am going to do this for the next month and see how I go.
I was feeling distressed because it has made me aware that I rely so much on my exercise to counteract my food and it should be the other way around or even... if ya know what I mean.
I hate so much that I think about food that much and it was getting me so angry yesterday. I have to start thinking more about what is going to make me happy in the long run and not what will make me happy in the short term.
Thanks Tracy... I am going to take your advice and position myself away from the naughty food at the camp and have some good choices sitting in front of me... Planning really is a obsession with me and I have to stop it and just go with the flow.
Thanks Janene... I have got two of Geneen Roth's books but didn't get her very first one grrr and she is sosooooooo easy to read isn't she and makes so much sense. I must admit I haven't finished either of the books... just read the first couple of chapters and then got lazy and got sick of reading about food and thoughts etc he he he. I think maybe you are right with the all or nothing theory with me and OMG that is soooo frustrating isn't it??? he he he
Anne...Thank you! You are adorable you know that!! Such a caring lovely person. I hope that your Easter weekend is a good one too.
Leighanne.... girl you have a lot on your plate at the moment and don't you give up either aye... we will get there in the end.. I do know that he he he.
Rachel... thanks for the email and I might try not counting the exercise points for a while and see how that goes. I know that sometimes with all the exercise I do do that I need to have the extra food... just need to think about how much sometimes.
Have my water next to me today... gulping that when I get to the stage I want to say arghhhhhh no exercise. But there is light at the end of the tunnel (I finally see it today) and I have a pt with Joy tomorrow morning and we are going to work out a way to get exercise back without causing too much pain.
I was a silly bitch last night that I had had enough of sitting around that I said to hubby I wanted to go for a walk and it was good while doing it and we chatted and went for about 40 minutes but then came back and watched tv and then trying to get up was OMG painful as my muscles weren't happy with me... so I have to watch the walking business for a while GRRRRRRR.
Anyway better get some work done he he

Weekend going's on
Saturday and Sunday
Got up all energised this morning (Sunday).... I have been reading two books at the moment:
Awaken the Giant within by Anthony Robbins
and
Live the life you love and stop just getting by.. by Barbara Sher
What great authors they are. Barbara Sher made me realise with a couple of activities she made me do that I get all fired up with Revenge (there are other catagories like Shaming, scolding, lecturing, competition, fear, affirmations, pain driven, spirituality, guilt, praying, dares, positive thinking, getting lots of praise, help from buddies)... now I know that Revenge doesn't sound good but I get more focused on the job at hand if I want to tell or show someone that they are wrong and I just want to say nah nah nah nah nah see I can do it you silly person and I want to piss you off.
I did it in 2005 when I first started trying to lose weight and my friend Tania told me that I couldn't lose 20 kilos in a year and I went out to prove her wrong and I did it in 10 months. Revenge in the sense that I wanted to prove her wrong and to show her I could do just as well as she had.
Excerpt from Barbara's Book: "A cousin of competition, and a funny one at that, is "Revenge" A friend of mine described it this way "All I have to do to succeed at something is imagine how happy my enemies would be if I failed. That makes me nuts, I can't stand it! And then I think of how they'd hate it if I succeeded and I just smile inside and get going!"
Well I am out to prove to Kris that just because our friendship has ended.. that I am not going to let her get the better of me that my life still goes on and even though she tried to sabotage my trainer I wasn't going to let her sabotage my life anymore. I was going to do this despite her!!
I made sure that I went to the gym today and get on with my training FOR ME. I am not going to stop going on Sunday's because of her anymore, and she was there today. I am not going to go to Lean for a little while longer as I still have that anger and I don't want it to effect other people in my Lean group as that isn't fair, but I am going back to Lean and I will be fired up.
So I went today (Sunday) with hubby and OMG it fired me up that she was there (I wasn't sure if she was going to be there or not) but I went on the rower and did 1500 metres in 8 minutes OMG OMG OMG it used to take me 11 minutes to do that so I was on fire. I ran on the treadmill too (as Kris has never seen me do that either). I know that it sounds bitchy but I think I have found the key to getting to motivating me to stop just aiming at what I have always done and to up the anty a little.
In Today's routine
- 1500 mtrs on Rower
- Water bike for the arms (10 minutes)
- Treadmill and walked/ran for 10 minutes
- Weights for those bingo wings of mine
- Kickboxing with hubby with arms and legs
- Crunches 20 x 3
- Side Crunches 20 x 3
Was really happy with the achievement at the gym today I up'd my anti and it made me feel good that I got up and didn't just stay in bed and veg.
We went outside after lunch today to get all the dead leaves etc out of our garden until it started raining.. Can you believe it is Summer as sometimes I feel like we are in spring etc with the changes in weather like this.
We made corn frittas for lunch and they were so so so yummy. It was nice for a change as sometimes lunches can get so boring when you have the same thing all the time.
The boys are watching Scooby Doo at the moment because the weather is so bad outside.. they did go on their bikes for most of the morning but now they are just veging.... which is fine by me as long as they aren't inside all day... it is a pet peeve of mine.
Anyway going to go back to reading my books woohooo.
Love ya all
Chubbymum
P.S I am feeling a little upset about tomorrow being my first day with the new bosses.... scares me a little really. I don't want things to change but fear that it is going to happen and I have no choice. My tummy has got bloody birds (not butterflies) moving around in there ho hum.

Unleash The Power Within is also such a powerful book. And by the sounds of things you are starting to look inwards and doing things FOR you instead of AGAINST someone else. It's a good thing :)
Have a great week and keep up that excellent training.

Not much to say
I haven't got much to say but feel like I have to do a post or I will get lazy he he he
I felt more confident today because of my loss last night. 800 grams for me is fantastic.
Went to the gym tonight to my first Kick boxing class with Joy my personal trainer and I worked my butt off. Before I went I had decided that I was going to try things I haven't done before or moves that I have done the easy option to... so tonight I did the jogging instead of the walking fast on the spot and I did full star jumps FULL STAR JUMPS OMG instead of the one step sideways.
I made sure all the hand work was done at the same time and I pushed hard and didn't give in. I sometimes feel like I don't go that extra little mile... I get to the point where I am hurting and then I don't go that extra mile and push through it and after watching The Biggest Loser in the last couple of weeks I have been thinking about the program and then I go through that barrier.
I have not ever wanted it so bad as I have in the last couple of weeks.
I have 22.8 kilos to get under 100 kilos CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???? only 22.8 kilos... not 54.7 kilos like the start of my journey.
Sue... thanks for the offer I appreciate it and I will use it to (you know what I mean)... thank you!
Work was ok today got a little annoyed with the Manager of the centre I have my office in... how useless is she!!
OMG I was sooo sick of covering her backside the last 6 months since she took over (when she had been jointly doing the job for the first 6 months) and she never gives credit where credit is due that I took some problems that she caused in her office today while her boss was there (didn't know she was but I was leaving for the day) and said "you need to sort these out because I am tired of fixing the problems when I have constantly been telling you guys how to do it" I know it was harsh but OMG there is so much you can take and not get credit for before you crack... and today it was me.
I worked full time last week instead of 20 hours a week to fix all the stuff ups that she caused over the holiday break that I think I got to breaking point.
OMG I got flack from Debbie today about not telling her how much I had lost last night.. she made such a big deal with her boss that her boss turned around and said "do you think maybe she lost way more than you had that maybe she didn't want to make you feel small" I just smiled and walked away... realistically she knows that wouldn't happen but why would she be so upset that I didn't tell her....?? don't quite get it... I didn't tell anyone at work when they asked too so that she didn't feel it was just her.
I felt better about it though... I felt like finally this journey was mine and now for all to see... I don't mind on here because of the support and we are all happy for all of our losses... but I feel quilty everytime I tell someone as the meeting how much I had lost because it is never a lot.... I don't want the quilt I want to feel proud of my accomplishments.
WHEW it feels good to just get it off my chest.... and talk talk talk... isn't this the way it is supposed to be? I feel like a journal is my way of getting it off my chest and working on it and not bottling it up inside.
OHHHH I am sore!! sore sore in my arms tonight after class.
Off tomorrow... got a PT with Joy and I am going to treat myself and get my nails done to feel good about myself.
I am going to my uncles funeral on Friday and I haven't seen most of the people that are coming in a couple of years as they live a long way away and hopefully someone will notice the difference in me... not that they are there for that but sometimes it is nice to talk about something else... It is bringing back a lot of upset moments for me at the moment and especially about my Dad. I so know what my cousin is going through at the moment and I hope to God that she has spent as much time with her Dad before he died because you can never get the time back.....
Anyway I have rambled on too much now.

Content
I haven't been posting every day because I feel content at the moment.
I had a horrible eating on Friday with dinner being pizza and gave myself crap for it on Saturday and starting getting angry but after posting on a group I belong to and reading the Dr Phil book I am even more determined to sort it out.
It is funny how reading the Dr Phil book has made me think about things like my exercise. I go and work out at the gym and I do work out hard but in the last week I have been watching myself and when I start to think I cannot go any further or faster then I push through it and realise I can do more and I am holding myself back... and I think that is the reason I had such a sweaty t-shirt on friday.... because I didn't let my mind think I couldn't do it.
Like the saying goes (if I have it right) "if you do what you always have done then you will get what you always got" I don't want to do what I have always done I want to change what I have always done and do better.
So today got up and went to the gym at 9.30am and decided that I wouldn't go with Debbie but would go with hubby as I go with Debbie 3 times a week and I find that I slow myself down on the bike, and cross trainer because she doesn't like those machines so I go at her speed and I finally realised I don't want to do that. I like having her there and I push myself on the rower and treadmill because she likes it and tries hard...well today I tried hard on all the equipement and I also spent time with hubby and we did kickboxing punches and kicks and situps and we worked on the bingo wings. It was nice working out with him as we don't get much time to be together and do something we both like doing so I was soooo happy afterwards it was nice and I hope we do more of that.
Got home and got a shower and went to lunch with my BIL and his girlfriend (hopefully one day my sister in law he he he) we get on so well not like the other girl friends he has ever had and she is so family friendly and we went to a chinese restaurant and had yum cha.. and enjoyed it totally and his girlfriend paid for lunch... she ran up to the desk so she would get there before us OMG... she said it was to say thanks for Christmas lunch and having her around. That was really nice of her. My MIL was there as well and it was a pleasant lunch and the food was yummy.
Got home and took mum to spotlight (didn't buy anything ho hum) I am a craft junkie if you guys didn't know that by now.
Then in the afternoon the kids played outside in the sprinkler and hubby and I sat on the swing and read books and talked to the kids and talked and all the while a roast chicken was cooking in the oven. It was a nice day to just relax in the sun... it was a hot day OMG WHAT A BOILING HOT DAY.
Anyway tired now and I have the dreaded work tomorrow and hopefully I will find out whether or not there are any spaces for my life coach course that I can get in to...
Fingers crossed

Ngatea Water Gardens
Hey!!!
I had a full on day yesterday and totally enjoyed it!
Maybe that is my New Year's Resolution to get out and go for it no matter what it is we only have one life to live so let's live it.
Got up had breakfast (in bed I might add from hubby he he he) then phoned MIL and we all went to Ngatea Water Gardens and it was a lot of fun. They have jokes all the way around the gardens and the kids get to do a quiz along the way so that they keep occupied.
What a beautiful place it is and they have so many funny things as you can see in the photo below. They have bird houses with sky digital on the top and a sign on it saying "For Lease". Sign saying Caution Falling rocks and then some gumboots under a rock. Also a gate saying please keep closed and there is only a gate and nothing else he he he. The flowers were georgeous and the whole place was enjoyed by all of us. The plague that said Do Not Stand Here was so funny. My oldest decided to stand on it and he got soaking wet he he he he too funny he should have done what it said he he he.
We then went out for lunch and I had a panini with mushrooms and bacon and really really enjoyed that.
Celtic girl in response to your comment yes I am feeling much happier and to be honest I shouldn't have told Kris about my blog because seeing her so much at my son's school and gym I couldn't talk on my blog anymore.
After driving there (which took an hour each way) we got home and went swimming with Debbie. Debbie and I swam lengths and the boys played (with my hubby) in the kids pool. I did 40 lengths but Debbie decided after 28 that she would go and play with the boys. I didn't swim the whole 40 as 15 of them I aqua jogged back and forth... it felt good and felt like I had achieved something. OMG it is sooo hard to swim after not doing it for years. I found doing the freestyle that I didn't want to put my face down in the water as I was always out of breath... I am sure I will get better and I am determined to go every Thursday night with Debbie and get my heart pumping. I have to get out of my square and the gym is good and I am not going to give up but I think I need to try something different.
Food is my problem!! How do I sort it out?
I am going to make sure I point every day but I am wanting bad food so much in these holidays and no matter how much exercise I do won't help me at all if I don't get it under control.
I suppose when I get back to work things will get back to normal.
I am really trying with the water and when I go for my hour walk every day I am trying my hardest to make sure I am sweating enough so that I am working hard... hmmmm it is going to happen I just have to keep to my points and stop being so bad and convincing myself that I need to eat more when I don't need to eat anymore at all. I do feel it is all in my head.
Hubby took me out for lunch today to an Italian Cafe and we enjoyed our time away from the kids. We went to find out about doing a Life Coach Diploma but when we got there the guy that answered the door said he was there to paint and they wouldn't be back until the 16th January so I suppose I have to wait till then.
I have really thought about my future in these past holidays. I have wanted to do training as a Life Coach for about a year now and have been too chicken to go for it because of money and because of part of it I have to be interviewed to get in to the course and I think I was thinking that because I am big that they wouldn't accept me because if I can't loose weight how can I help others in their life choices.... but then I have two years part time study to do before I will be coaching anyone and I want to specialise in helping people with weight issues and that is what I am going to concentrate on. I know that there is more to losing weight than just eating and exercising and some skinny people don't know about the head stuff that goes on and I want to help as many people in my situation as possible.
So when I lose the weight by the time I finish my 2 year studies then I WILL be in a position to help others just like I wished I had had from someone.
I want to do this!! I hope that I am not too late to get in to the course because after much thought I know I want to do this.
Anyway... tired and need to get some sleep
Love CM

Hey girl, you definately should go for it with the Life Coach training. Even if you start off with one paper (or module or whatever), you can at least dip your toes in the water (so to speak), and see if it is really what you want to do. From the little I know about Life Coaching there's more to it than just coaching people who are overweight, so you shouldn't let that stop you, not for one second!! For ages I was put off midwifery because I thought I would be turned down because of the "health screening" tests, which I was assumed was weight/fitness related, but it turns out it's just bloodtests for diseases that you don't want to pass onto patients and immunization levels. Anyway, I think you get what I mean. Just GO FOR IT! And doing the studies yourself will no doubt help you in your own journey... and you can use us as guinea pigs hehehe :)
*hugs*

I love the photos! It looks like you had a wonderful time -- you're looking FAB-U-Lous and the boys are getting soooooooooooooo big!! They grow so fast, don't they?
Love the Diet utensils. Made me laugh :)
To answer your question -- I never HAD a partner. I just did it myself. I don't know how I stayed focused... I guess it was my MISSION or something. Now Mom/I are working together and that seems to work well. She's got arthritis and the docs told her it would be good for her to do water therapy -- so we go together!
From what I understand from my Physical Therapist and trainers, a day of rest is good. Just so that you don't let it be too many days in a row -- then you're outta sync. Or don't want to continue. I try to schedule everything in my life -- including days of rest :)

Ohhhh,,, I love Ngatea Water Gardens. (as most garden freaks probably do) Its such a well established garden and I also love all those funny quirky little things they have included in the design. I was actually suppose to have that venue for my wedding reception but here we are,, still not married and know that I won't be. (thats another long story, I should blog about it sometime soon) Roger, the guy that made the gardens gave me a lot of tips when I was setting up our garden.
Know what you mean about the food. Since my wisdom tooth infection, (and stitches) have all finally healed up I seem to be inhaling enough food to feed a small nation. I am certainly making up for not eating over Christmas/New Years. (grrrrrrr, at myself). I HAVE to get back on track.
Ciao for now
